I used to have many apps and all they did was slow down my Firestick. Moreover, I realized that I was only using the same apps all the time. Therefore, I deleted the apps that I did not use and these are the ones that I kept.
VPN, real debrid, Minitor Dot, Cinema HD, ad free UTube
Prime, HBO Max, Disney+, TUBI & Pluto are the streaming services I use & all of them almost equally. The Browser I use is JioPages which I prefer over TVBro, & Firefox.

Smartube from github. Just google it and download. Or, from Troypoint toolbox.
I agree less is better but need a plan B if an app goes down as we know we have to be ready for

I had extra storage working fine on two Max Firesticks and now they are not? It’s a constant hassle with the memory on the Firestick. Might have to try some TV Box in the future. I use 5 different apps on a regular basis.
I have storage added via a powered Smays OTG hub using a 3.0 USB Sandisk, and use it for apps. I have never had any issues with it, although I don’t think I’m ever going to fill it up as it would take hundreds of apps. It’s only 16GB . Max is almost 2 yrs old now.
