Anyone have experience using Hide.me? I did try it for a month and really liked it. Based in Malaysia and does have a kill switch for Android TVOS. They have a 27 month deal going on now for $59.95 I’m considering taking advantage
Hey with a no log policy and a trust pilot rating of 4.9 that’s amazing. Great deal as well. I’ll read up on these guys a bit more, but on a quick read through it sounds good. Thanks.
Exactly and it’s strange that it’s not mentioned much at all. I streamed the entire time with it and not one issue. Good back up for my Express at that price! I did message them and confirmed they are all RAM servers as well
They do keep your e:mail and reading their terms they will give what info you provide if a court order impells them to do so. But they also state that browsing activity is non existant. If you join their forum and provide personal info then they can be impelled to hand that over. So they do need a valid e:mail and if tied directly to you and has your personal info then that’s a red flag. The no logs only pertains to your browsing history, so even if impelled to hand over your info the authorities have absolutely no idea where or what you were browsing. That’s where the no logs comes in. As they state they’ve been around for years I’m also surprised I’ve not heard of them. But for $2.22/mth on a 27 mth sub it sure is reasonable.
They are located in Malaysia as well
Ya I saw that. I’ll have to research Malaysia. Never been in my radar until now. I know nothing about the country.
I’ve been using Skiff email since they started. I just confirmed that by using a quick alias email by Skiff, it cannot be traced back to you. “ Do you mean a Quick Alias? Quick Aliases cannot be traced back to a Skiff account owner”-Skiff Customer Support
I just jumped on the deal and used Quick Alias email. Worked like a charm
You don’t need one for the free version
Did you sign up for the 27 month deal or just the free one to try?
I didn’t sign up in the end. I still have Proton for a while and didn’t want to spend any more money.
I get it. I just put it on our KM2 and it’s great so far. Been using it on our Shield Pro with no problems
Holy crap those are amazing speeds for multi hop. I know Proton I can do multi hop but not on my streaming devices as I can’t get to those settings. Is this on your streaming device or phone? Your ping is slightly high but that is to be expected on a multi hop, jitter is perfect.
My iPhone. I’m going to check it on our KM2 and see what I get
Perfect. Let me know please as this seems great. I’ll have to check how many countries and how many servers and where.
Not bad at all. We don’t get many choices here in Canada. So it’s Vancouver, Montreal or Toronto. But nice speeds.
Those are the only Canadian server options I have as well. I may hardwire it and see what heppens
Hey those speeds over WiFi are all you’ll need for streaming. I did go with ethernet on my shield but my WiFi was very steady and once I got off the local cluttered WiFi channels my speeds rarely change, even during peak times.
