I love the newson app and been using it for years. Several other friends were using the app also. I started getting phone calls a couple of days ago. their newson app would not launch. Mine was still working fine. I walked them through uninstalling and reinstalling. I even did it on my ONN box and it worked everytime.. until just now. I can install it from playstore just fine. But now my newson app will not work.. Anyone else with this issue? maybe someone try installing on their box for me?
tried that.. it would only let me download this file that had an xapk extension and then the box said it had program to open this file. Also tried installing from playstore on ONN plus model.. everything else installed and works like normal.. maybe an issue with the that was just updated a few days ago?
You have to scroll down more. You can get around the xapk stuff. Sec I’ll have a look for ya. Scroll down choose older version, install and then you should get an update available notification or in the app settings an update link. I hate when they do that xapk stuff. Real annoying.
you can log in as guest. Will play all your local news. can go back like 3 days to watch older broadcast and change the area code. What kind of box did you install it on?
Oh could well be. That’s been happening more and more with app updates. Not sure if it’s a droid 14 thing or the ONN. Becomes the usual hurry up and wait fix.
I live in Central Missouri and am looking for an option for live local news, an antenna isn’t a great option as I’m to far away from the towers to get consistent reception. Is this app a solution or has something better came along?
