Downloader Now Requring Captcha Code

Hey Experts, I’m trying to upgrade to 21 Omega using Downloader on a Firestick. When I enter the Troypoint Downloader code for the Troypoint Tool box, I get a request to enter a Captcha code and states, “Our system thinks you might be a robot!”. There is a sentence too that says “This page requires cookies to be enabled in your browser settings.” I have never run into this before. I went to settings in Downloader and there is no option related to cookies.
When I enter the captcha code, I always get an error stating it’s the wrong code.
I am using Surfshark which is enabled. Developer options are enabled
Suggestions anyone? Thank you

If you are in Downloader you just need to go to TROYPOINT Toolbox in the browser. Not sure why you need to enter a code. Maybe its another way but i never used it.

It’s a hit or Miss with toolbox. Sometimes you get a code and sometimes you don’t. In other words sometimes there’s a captcha and sometimes there isn’t.

Ive never seen a captcha in downloader or going to the toolbox.

Is this a FS thing? Even if, i never seen when i used them.

I have, and it’s a pain in the butt when you don’t have a keyboard!

And are you entering a code or going to tp toolbox website directly in the browser?

I had a problem on thetvapp website with captcha but it turned out it was the browser i was using. Different browser solved the problem.

Well guys, it appears it was related to SurfShark. When I disconnected, I no longer was asked to provide a captcha

Maybe it was the location of the vpn that caused the captcha.

Or could be that when you’re running a VPN Troy don’t know if you’re a human or machine, or a bot so he wants a captcha!

But i always use a vpn. Are we sure troy isnt a bot trying to “capture” us all? :joy:

I was going to ask if your VPN was active. I just upgraded KODI and believe his video instructions said to turn off VPN during download process because I would not have known to do that. After download and upgrade installed for KODI I turned VPN back on.

I ran into it for the first time last week as well. When I put in the Captcha code, it worked. It’s definitely related to SurfShark.

same here never seen capcha on downloader

Agreed.

I’ve seen this with IPVanish. Changed VPN location. No more issues.

this is why I dumped Surfshark long ago, this was happening on all sorts of sites
using Proton or Mullivad now and zero issues

That’s because you do not use a VPN and Troy knows who you are!

Yes, you definitely have to shut off your VPN because, for some reason that is happening a lot frequently. I don’t know, it’s just funny nowadays.
