I have Stremio on both a Firestick 4KPro and the ONN box. With my VPN they both normally run beautifully, they’ve even accepted the VLC player.
HOWEVER, over the past 48 hours Torrentio fails to load. Even if it does eventually load and provide streams, the streams never go to the player.
Is that a Stremio problem or a Torrentio problem? I doubt going back to previous version is the answer for this situation.
Torrentio is down again so it appears.
I tried downgrading Stremio using the downloader number above (for Stremio 1.6) and that install didn’t solve the current problem. Torrentio users on X are complaining that Torrentio has been down for a couple of days.
Torrentio came back up for a few hours last night but the issues weren’t just Torrentio. I deleted my account and made a new one. That fixed everything. Like @dogg5150 said, try the TorBox or AIO Streams addons.
I’m gonna be patient one more day. Got enough to do without TV. But then I might try making a new account. Don’t think I want to try other apps just yet.
You guys that have been having trouble with torrentio for just a couple days are lucky. Torrentio has been up and down for a couple weeks now, mostly down, same with comet, but not as bad.
Miki- what is a torbox stream?
TorBox is also a debrid service and an addon, in the basic account, going with the Pro account gets you usenet sources. You can share your API key with friends and family as well, no penalty, no fair use limits.
@Miki Question to ponder…with MASSIVE sharing allowed with Torbox, it is possible that so many people using it will dilute the quality of the service? I have no clue how it works but I’m just wondering if it’s possible with such a liberal (and crazy IMO) will it eventually blow the rest of us up?.

It is for me. TorBox I use the addon. I add the TorBox debrid API key in addons that want debrid services. I have 3 services. Never lost for sources TBH.
It doesn’t affect the quality of service at all. I got 7 people on one Essential account.
When you click on the day, to the right is the full list of shows for that day. Not sure if there is an option to take thumbnails out to show more. But the list on the right is where to look. Like earlier this week a new series we’re interested in came out and all episodes available first day…
Hi I hope I’m in right section for my issue. Up to now I’ve always used Kodi builds but I became interested in Stremio. So I watched Troy’s install video. I see the first thing is to register an account at Stremio.com This is were my issue started. From what I can see it’s only for organisations and not individuals, so I’m not sure how to register since I’m an individual?

Stremio is encountering lots of problems. I’ve used it successfully for years. Now it’s a terrible time to start using it, you’ll just get frustrated!
Ever since Cinema stopped working, my Stremio started having issues. I assumed many cordcutters switched over and it slowed things down. Now, when I select a link to play a tv series, I don’t have the option to choose RD as it doesn’t populate.
I updated Stremio on all my devices and I have zero issues. Nvidia Shield Pro, Fire Cube and Fire stick 4K Max are working just fine. I also installed a new app on my Nvidia Shield called STRMR and it works really well. Updates from the developer are coming in about every 3 to 4 days apart. This app is only available for Android devices and not the Fire sticks or Fire TV.
