Hello Troy, I hope you and yours are all well.
I use an ancient 5.1 system I bought around 15 years or so ago.
It’s a Sony STR-KS1100 and to me it still sounds as good as the day I purchased it.
I know it hasn’t got the latest bells and whistles but to me everything sounds great if a little too loud for some of my neighbours when listening to films and TV shows with a lot of action scenes or reliving my youth when I used to go clubbing and banging out some tunes lol but now I’m 55 and more considerate I use a Creatives Labs G6 connected to my PC with a headphone amp inline going to a set of AKG KS14 headphones which are also ancient but still sound great.
In my opinion posts like this are a good addition because they are interesting and informative so it’s a thumbs up from me.
Pete

Hi, I have two AV receivers that I use with my streaming devices. My main unit is an Integra DTR-7.9 (livingroom). My secondary unit is a Sony STR-K750P (bedroom). I am very happy with my Integra 7.2 channel system although many streams only load as 5.1 channels. Although the question re speakers wasn’t posed. It is equally as important as the receiver. I currently have 2 Cerwin Vega AT15s, an astounding RCA center channel, a Cerwin Vega 15" powered Sub, Cerwin Vega VE-5M surrounds and Aiwa 4way rear channels in my livingroom. The Sony uses 5.1 mini speakers which are impressive. My tv is a Samsung 60" (livingroom, Samsung 46" (bedroom).
Main TV is connected to an Onkyo receiver. Master Bedroom TV is connected to a Sony soundbar.
Main TV 65" LG, connected to T95 PLUS and a Yamaha RX-V673 receiver hooked up to 7.2 surround Klipsch speakers. In my spare bedroom, I have a Visio sub, soundbar, satellite speakers, hooked up to an Nvidia Shield and 60" LG TV.
I use a marantz system, awesome sound.
