^exactly!!!
Prime has always been the âuglyâ of original streaming. Paying for streaming, then paying AGAIN for pay-per-view. Now they want to add advertising to the free streaming. Paramount+ started this. If Netflix is business-smart theyâll keep ads and pay per view out of their service. Otherwise itâs . . .side-loaded torrent apps
May sound too ârantyâ but weâre seeing capitalism run amok. Started with Reagan, and now neoliberalism where EVERYTHING has to be bought, even democratic services. I truly believe itâs whatâs not only driven people into poverty, homelessness, and even crime and petty theft. How one party has driven this country to haves and have nots, and eventually ruin (the revolution is around the corner?) How long before free streaming sites around the world are blocked.
These MFâs have no scruples at all. I printed that Prime Bull Sh*t email and mass emailed it to everyone on my contacts a copy (attachment). Informing them this attachment is Amazonâs way of slipping their needle into your wallet for future âcash fixesâ!
As much as it sucks Iâll still use prime for shipping until a better option becomes available. I kind of need it because Iâm not able to get to the stores as well as i used to do.
But i wont access their streaming content through Prime with ads. Although as i said above i rarely did anyway. If you want to watch their programming use kodi or another source. Problem solved.
Right now the only show i watch on prime is Reacher. Its ok not great but also not something i canât live without. 95% of the things available arent worth the monthly subscriptions. Its just that we have become used to having it available as an option.
I Donât have prime and use Amazon all the time. My shipping is always free. Just donât expect next day delivery.
Weâre already there. I looked in the mirror and couldnât think of who that could be looking back, but on the upside I had a sudden craving for fruit loops.
Yeah im kind of addictive to the fast shipping. Whether its $10 or $50 i know it will be there 1 or 2 days later at most. Some even come the same day!
You donât need a prime membership just an Amazon account to use their devices like you always do.
They should follow the path that Netflix did with their ad-supporter sub - make it less expensive than their âstandardâ package. Though this did come with an asterisk, as they did replace their original non-ad, lower cost entry level basic sub with the ad version that was $1 more expensive.
Amazon should be charging prime subs $36 less a month for those who opt in to the the ads. The standard prime annual sub costs should remain ad free.
âŚalways about appealing the shareholders.
Fyi, Bezos isnât waiting for the 29th to inundate you with his ads. Iâm watching the Prime app right now and it has plenty of ads already going!
Ditch The Stick!
Remember when at midnight the screen went to grey or to an image of an American flag?
Back in the 50âs and early 60âs the stations would sign off at night playing the National Anthem.
Btw, there wasnât many stations.
Remember the live bull fights aired from Mexico.
It is a sad state of the cord-cutter world, BUT we all know the free programming comes with a cost and a sunset period. I will keep Prime as I get massive value out of it, BUT I will not pay the added 2.99 /mo. Like Hulu and the other offerings out there, I will be very selective and am personally starting to use each service for its low cost or free trials and then moving on to another free one. I am also now seriously looking at the different Android Boxes Troy has been showcasing and think I will migrate off of my Fire Cubes to one as the long-term costs and quality of freedom will hopefully be better. It is very hard to beat the simplicity that Fire Sticks originally offered. Sad to say it but so long free days.
Good luck with that, I donât watch Prime.
Yes, I also got that message.
emember when trying to watch a baseball game was near impossible, couldnât see baseball for signal interference, could have been anything lawn mower plane, you name it , weâve come a long way.
I bet @Miki does
I may be wrong but I donât see free shipping, I do see same day or or two day
shipping which is great, but if you look on right side with other sellers they sell
same product for less but add shipping which equals prime price but it might
take a week. Just my two cents worth.
