These isp’s want you to buy into their cable or satellite tv packages. The isp’s who don’t have a TV package are the ones who most likely don’t care and doubt they would send letters.
I agree but disagree. I think you will find ISPs being asked to block and/or report access to sites that might display on demand TV series and movies. Yes, they want to sell their services and groups like the MPA want ISP enforcement of MPA rules instead of the law. The MPA can make rules but not law…unless they can get the ISPs to become rule enforcement.
I agree. Todays example… A reported 43 customers of the IPTV service are reportedly under investigation for viewing illegal streams
You may wonder, Hmmm why the one viewing under investigation? No vpn usage would be my guess and I digress
CUSTOMER LISTS!
“Other items seized during the raids include 52,915 euros in cash, 41 ‘online receivers’ (nature unspecified), 24 mobile phones, 46 bank cards, 22 hard disks, 11 computers, 6 SIM cards, 5 tablet devices, 3 USB flash drives, customer lists, and a wireless router.”
And a partridge in a pear tree.
I advise against placing blind trust in the media, as often the details in the fine print reveal that what they present is merely a stock image. Furthermore, the media has proven incapable of placing actual criminals in prison, let alone someone who is using inexpensive IPTV services.
It is worth noting that watching TV will give you 10 years can potentially result in a sentence comparable to the same criminals the Indeterminate Custodial Sentence (ICS), which is reserved for the most severe sexual and violent offenses that carry a 10-year penalty. However, it is important to recognise that such claims are likely intended to cause fear and panic, particularly with regards to the recent billboard advertisement for https://bestreamwise.com/, which is once again owned by Sly and appears to be an attempt to deter people from streaming. It is crucial to understand that stopping individuals from streaming is an impractical endeavor.
I cannot speak to the laws of Greece, yet I wonder what the seizing of the names of viewers constitutes? Get your name on the blackboard perhaps? Greek law really is like Greek to me.
“Other core members of the group acted as resellers to their own sets of customers, who purchased pre-configured set-top boxes using various mechanisms including cash, bank transfers, online money transfers, and cryptocurrency transactions.”
a vpn protects you and the isp. With encrypted traffic everyone is happy …most everyone
LOL It’s awesome that when I clicked on https://bestreamwise.com/ my Trend Micro Internet Security blocked it as being a malicious site and I had to allow it to Open up
A website created to spread Fear and Disaster about illegal streaming in the UK being blocked
my browser wont open it due to security measures
Resellers are different from those just watching, but it’s valid to be fearful if you’re reselling. Just apples and oranges…imho
The perspective varies among end-users, owners, and resellers regarding this campaign. However, the campaign primarily aims to instill fear among end-users. Despite this, it is impossible to control the viewing habits of the end-users, as more than half of the population in the United Kingdom watches it, including my 8-year-old child who enjoys kids programs.
Undoubtedly, things are challenging for the United Kingdom. Nevertheless, there are numerous resellers in the global market, and even if they are shut down or intimidated, there are still many remaining.
For as long as I’ve been streaming it has always seemed like these crackdowns on end users has been primarily contained to the UK? I could be wrong but I don’t see this happening in the US (not yet anyway)
uk has had a lot of resellers selling boxes to pubs set up to watch socceer that has lead to many uk crackdowns
Hmmmm. If I was a Pub owner I might be more concerned with Buffering than the legality of it. It’s so hard to find a great IPTV provider with no buffering. And it’s one thing if it happens to me at home but quite different if it happens in my Pub. I’d be afraid of losing customers.
there are services that have minor buffering i have one uk based one that doesnt buffer well rarely buffers when you look at pub would be paying over a grand for soceer you can see it happenening
