Crackdown on iptv

I’ve just been on TikTok and some post has come to my attention as it says they’ve got photographic evidence of some bloke knocking on a random door in a green vest  the post shows a kind of statement saying IPTV users can get 10yrs in prison or a hefty fine now we all know about the fear mongering activities that the streaming giants have used upto now. Now my question is does anyone think that there’s any truth to this???

its tiktok if you get your newsfrom there i feel sorry for you

This type of thing has been going on since the days when we programmed set top box cards.

Rumors of cable and satellite company trucks cruising the streets scanning for illegal boxes. lol

Ah stop it will you  i wished I hadn’t said anything about it now. I was just putting it out there and trying to make people aware of it . I think I’ll swerve it TikTok for info from now on :joy::joy::v:t2:

Yeah glad you realize that this is complete nonsense. We have enough paranoia here as it is and don’t need more people hiding under their beds

consider the source and also check out the guy knocking on the Door. This is clearly a Yellow vest NOT Green

Yeah I saw this a while ago and I knew it was a blag

The guy in the green vest is the meter reader.

they still have meter readers these days?

I still see them.

I’m not a lawyer, but I’ve read a lot on “Copyright” definition. I can’t see where “watching” is a crime. Literally copyright means “right to copy”. There is a movement to make ISPs police the use of the internet and some (not all) ISPs write letters. ISPs should never be forced to police our internet use. Illegal use of the internet should be the responsibility of the injured party/parties and the legal system. But I think if you do some personal research, of your own, as to what copyright protects (and doesn’t protect) will ease your mind … but that is just my personal opinion.
