Cinema HD v2.5.2 APK Pros + Cons

It should, CleanWeb 2.0 is what SS uses…I assume you can get it by itself? Never looked though lol. Not sure Cinema is worth an extra sub just to block ads. Easier to pay premium for a better app at that point.

None of my boxes have any, but I don’t use modded apps. I do agree that the modded apps likely will show, but it is weird they are showing 3 hits.

I think I still have a copy of the ad-free version that was available on the RAI. I usually leave a few notable apks in my Downloader file folder in the past - I’ll have to check my old 2nd Gen Fire TV.

Granted, it’s a 2.4.0 version, it should still update to current and retain it’s modded features.

Oh, CleanWeb is a paid app?

I could be wrong, CleanWeb may be more of a SS dedicated ad-blocker. I have never looked into it, so I guess I shouldn’t have assumed it was a premium ad blocker or something.

Just for the heck of it, I downloaded 2.5.2 on my Onn box. It still uses Surfshark with CleanWeb. I am not getting any ads even without MX Player. Where were the ads? Like when you back out of a show or movie?

Yes, the ads come when you either finish a movie or you quit a movie and try to exit. I found a kind of workaround using a Shield. I just double click my “Home” button to bring up the “Recents” page and then I dismiss Cinema from that list/ This closes out the app and then I can reopen Cinema to its home page again. Although, this is not the best option, but it works and only takes a couple of seconds to do.

You were using SS with CleanWeb on? I have tried several movies and shows and can’t get an ad to pop up. I used 988552 Downloader Code and for the heck of it I added MX Player and made it the default player. I keep hearing the issues with installing this version and that it is littered with ads, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for me.

UPDATE: I may have spoken too soon. Just got an ad while backing out of a newer movie. Interesting the ad-blocker doesn’t zap it. Okay, I wasn’t doubting anyone, was just confused why I couldn’t get ads, now I understand. I’ll keep testing when I get more time.

Used the downloader code , asked me if I wanted to update my version I said yes and install everything’s fine. Always watch through MX don’t have to deal with the ads that way.

You using SS with Clean Web?

No I’ve got another year left with ipvanish

Well, then do run some sort of an ad blocker? The TP tutorial stated to run Cinema with Surfshark’s “CleanWeb” and to use MX to get rid of ads. So am curious how come you aren’t getting ads without using SS.

Ok. After I choose a link, I scroll to the bottom of the list of choices and choose ‘copy to clipboard’. Then I go home and open up MX player. MX player recognizes that I have a movie on my clipboard and it asks me if I want to open it and I click okay. Or, you can click on the three dots on the right upper corner and choose Network stream.

If he did an updated installation on an existing ad-free modded copy of cinema that was already on his device then it should continue to circumvent ads.

Maybe.

Has the same annoying HOTELS.COM ad now as BeeTV and FilmPlus. Uninstalled as soon as I saw that. Sure, I can get rid of it with Cleanweb but why bother with yet another apk (not a very good one at that) when I don’t need to?

If I don’t play through MX player then I will have to deal with ads.
I don’t use modded.

so , do you use SS with the CleanWeb or not?

After rereading your post, I assume you are using some sort of a Kodi addon?

No, what exactly
is it that you want to know?

I thought the SS CleanWeb in conjunction with MX was how to avoid those ads. At least that is what the TP tutorial stated.

I will test out your findings right now and see what happens.

I dont seem to have these issues with my service? hmmmm…oh yea I dont use it anymore :joy:
