Ohh I didnt know vlc was a player for apk. I only used it on desktop to listen to mp3s years ago, ill have to try it for firestick.I used to see it on troys site to download, but didnt know what exactly was used for. I use MX player…? I think its called.
MX Player Pro use to be my go to player on my Max, but then I saw VLC could be used for “extra” things like downloading and was kept more up to date. So I switched. VLC is not just a media player. I’m still learning all it’s features.
Ooooh good to know it also downloads. I just recently got into downloading movies on my firestick because my other home which is in a rural area where i happen to be at now, the firestick streams poorly especially in late afternoon . Constant buffering, yet roku works fine.Think they are trying to replace new cables for internet…so I was told. But lately, cinema, bee, and film, i cant get the download to work. Cinema is really bad , i think its a very old version, and wont even run now. So will try vlc. I know, it has so many features its unreal. Thanks for letting me know! I think MX and T player are only ones I used. And exo player, or something like that. Not good with names

Just installed FilmPlus on smart tv. Surprisingly similar to Cinema HD.
Loaded and finished v 2.09 from Troy’s latest message. All looked good until I tried to play something…anything. Tried both the B player and MX. Lots of links, just won’t go to any selected link. Using Real-Debrid. What am i doing wrong?
I tried it with the same results. Tried various versions for a bit of fun.
I guess it’s just broken.
I’ll stick with my other movie apps because they work.

I’ve been using Film+ and Cinema and F (flix)?? Until recently they all worked. All the issues mentioned previously I have experienced. So I 'm looking for alternatives. I’m on Amazon Fire 4k and want something that provides TV and movies. I realize things are changing but am not ready to go to the ex cable companies idea of streaming. Any suggestions?
Stremio always worked flawlessly on the Firestick for my TV Series and Movies.

KODI is great for TV and Movies. There are always good working Addons
@MarkxG is correct. There are many many good options on TP and good tutorials and vids to help you get the most out of them. From Stremio to Kodi, Real Debrid to Orion and throw in Trakt and man you got a powerhouse streamer. Oh and I almost forgot Syncler and Weyd. Tx to @Explorer for reminding me of Weyd.

Not sure why you’re having issues. My preferred apks in order of successful retrieval of streams is:
Stremio/Torrentio (RD, VPN, no ads)
BeeTV (only with cleanweb)
FilmPlus (only with cleanweb)
Flixvision (no ads)
Onstream (no ads)
Otherrs also work (Cinema - no ads; TeaTV -with Cleanweb)
You pretty much have to have Real Debrid and SurfShark (Cleanweb) if you want a smooth experience with any of these.
