I have 2 firesticks one at my address and one at my girlfriend’s place. It would be really helpful if anyone could give me some advice on how to be able to use both firesticks at the same time if it’s at all possible
Thank you in advance
No, they track your IP address. You can use the same subscription in either place at different times but not at the same time. Buy another subscription.
Thank you for your reply as I’ve googled it and can’t get no proper answers
Can I do it from my phone or will I have to use another.
Do what from your phone? Sign up for a second real debrid account? Just go to the website from any device.
If you’re asking about watching on your phone in a different location at the same time then the answer is no. If you’re using wifi on your phone in the same house where you are streaming on another device then it’s fine. Look up what an IP address is and how they work if you’re still unclear. IP address are unique to each connection. One wireless router shares an Internet connection with multiple devices, but it’s still one IP address. Your data plan on your phone has a different IP address.
…from the real debrid TOS.
For less than $3 a month, just snag another sub. Not only is it a great value, it will also continue to support the Devs that maintains the service.
I’ve got my own real debrid account which I’ve used for a year or so on the 4k max , now I wanted to know if I could have an account for my girlfriends firestick but from the same phone or would I have to use another phone to apply real debrid to her firestick as we both live at different locations
Any advice would be welcomed and appreciated
You’re referring to authorizing your girlfriend’s firestick using your phone? Yes, you would just have to log out of your RD account on your phone, log in to the new account that is set up for her, then authorize firestick at her place.
…or just have her log in to her RD account from her phone or PC and do it.
Thank you very much for your support
For what the cost of RD subs are, just get one sub for each IP address. It’s still way cheaper than any other streaming service and works flawlessly. It’s better to do the right thing and have a seamless experience compared to encountering an issue at 2 addresses simultaneously.
Yes I have all three n different ip
So do I have to use 2 different email addresses to set it up
I think so. Or else it will just keep adding to your current expiration date. Unless someone knows different, that’d be my best guess.
Thanks for your reply
I have multiple firesticks in multiple locations and states for years. Regarding having RD enabled and config on different Kodi builds in different places I have been doing so going on 5 years. One firestick up North and another in the South we have used the same RD account an watched streaming sports via Kodi same time many times. If you are using a Kodi build on either unit or one of the APK streaming apps Like Cinema HD yes one account both devices works flawlessly.
I forgot to mention all devices are running SurfShark VPN.
You can use it on unlimited devices
Thought you didn’t get live streams
I’ve put it on different family members sticks and had no complaints from anyone
If you want to play with fire that’s your call. I’m not sure how you’ve gotten away with it. But people have had their accounts shut down for watching content on two different IP addresses with one subscription simultaneously. It’s fine if you have multiple devices authorized in different locations. That doesn’t mean two people are actually using the service at the same exact time.
Well, whether or not some subscribers are successfully sharing their accounts across different devices, used simultaneously is sustained or not - and whether RD is actively enforcing these limits - the factual component is that it violates their ToS.
It’s clear in their sub terms that they expect you to only use simultaneously on devices in the same home network as IPs are logged.
Now it becomes an ethical issue and which way your moral compass points. Sooner or later - RD will likely prioritize enforcement of such sharing violations. Just like Netflix and Costco decided that it’s a big enough problem to enforce.
Over a few dollars a month, to me, is hardly worth having the headache of having your account suspended.
