I have a Toshiba Fire tv. The lack of sound appears to originate from there. Settings all look ok, the volume bar moves back and forth but no sound.

I restarted the tv and -voila- sound!

Crazy but I guess you can’t overlook even the most obvious suspects.

Cool video, learning allot. One thing I like about the Google licensed TV boxes is that you can use the Google TV app to type/copy and paste info into certain fields. Can you do this with boxes not licensed running open source programs?
