BuzzTV PowerStation 6 Android TV Box First Impressions Video

Once you get the device, set it up then make sure you have a premium Tivimate sub and onstall Tivimate. Then PM me and I’ll get you a guide for Tivimate and answer your recording questions then. Not much sense now as it may all be latin to younwithout the Tivimate app installed.

Hi Joe, as @Miki said you can pay for a premium TiviMate subscription but you can also just use the built-in BuzzTV 6 IPTV app and record with that. All you need to do is pull open the EPG and then click what you want to record in the future and go through the settings that it prompts you with and you are good to go. The BuzzTV recording works extremely well.

Damn I forgot all about the BuzzTV 6 app. That’s what I get for replying to someone when I haven’t even had my first coffee. @TROYPOINT is absolutely right, with the latest update that added some amazing features you won’t need to spend any more money as the Buzz box has IPTV built in and records easily to the internal storage of the box.

My experience is the recordings are not as reliable when buffering occurs as are Tivimate and Sparkle. It is very easy to use with home screen REC icon/folder that shows recordings and starts recordigs. Also, the record button on the remote is handy.

Thanks guys appreciate your feedback. Just so happens I have premium Tivimate as well. So you recommend I use Tivimate as primary recording app vs buzz’s app? Again thanks guys. I’ll begin setting up my box today and await any further tips from you. Once I setup I’ll let you know if I got it right. Again thank you!!

Joe

I have a Pioneer AVR VSX 9040 that I use to run my sound through on my streaming devices. I am able to control the sound on it with my Nvidia Pro Shield remote, my onn 4k Pro Box remote, and my 2nd Gen Fire TV Cube remote. I cannot figure out a way to get my Buzz TV 6 BT500 remote to control the sound on this receiver. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yea I have the buzz 6 unlimited but can’t hook it up to my sony bravia oled i hooked everything up push hdmi input it says psl 6 256 that’s it when I push it nothing comes on I chatted with buzztv for hours and we couldnt figure out why it won’t come on I did get the bt 500 to work but thats it buzztv was suppose to email me but nothing so far

Well they’re the experts. It may be a defective unit. How old is your TV?

@Secard , did you try a different HDMI cable, or a different HDMI port??

I caught something I believe was printed on the packaging during the unboxing. It stated

If true, not sure I want to spend that much and not have the total control I currently have.

That is just for setup as troy mentions in his vid and tutorial once set up Troy removed the connection from the TV and plugged into his sound system.

Thank you for that clarification. Still evaluating my “wants and needs” given the price.

Totally worth it!!

I have the Buzz 6 but I did something(pilot error) to turn off the volume and I can’t get it back. It’s Saturday night and my wife is not happy

I assume you can get into the settings>Display & Sound>Advanced sound settings and check your sound. Also check in Decode & bitstream and make sure you have HDMI Passthrough enabled if using an external sound device.

Have you tried a restart? Could really use more info. How is your sound connected, what have you tried? What were you doing when it went out?

Hi Miki

Thanks for responding. I am a bit of a fiddler and was just looking around the system. I must have pushed something verboten. I checked all the settings and they appear to be ok.

Thanks

Barry

Have you gone into settings and clicked the restart to see if it comes back? Not many sound settings to adjust. Was this in BuzzTV 6 App? Also how were you getting sound? TV? Soundbar?

There is no added sound device. I did a restart earlier and I got this message:

Diag mode:boot_completed detected.

Ya that’s the normal message after a reboot. So sound is through your TV? Maybe check your remote settings in the remote app.

Yes. Nothing added to the system.
