No if you have it installed then go into the Stremio settings>Playback>Default player. Click that and choose external. Then when you start a vid an option will pop up for you to choose Just player or any others you have. You can also choose āalwaysā so that it auto starts with Just Player. But I also have MX Player Pro installed and sometimes I find vids that Just wonāt play and MX does, although thatās rare. Now donāt forget if you have just player installed then open it and go through the settings for things like subtitles, framerate matching, tunneled playback etc.

So Iām new and this may be my first post here. I try to research quite a bit before posting so I apologize if Iām beating a dead horse with this but I was looking at IPTV Player apps and Iāve used Tivimate Premium for quite some time. Iāve tried OTT Player on my phone and I absolutely hate the current interface. Iāve tried IPTV Smarters and itās okay but itās almost too simple? I really wanted something robust that would be easy to set up on multiple devices. I have 3 different rooms where I watch it on various AndroidTV devices as well as my phone. Then my family has a second home we visit a lot in the summers that also has multiple devices (All variations of AndroidTV). I love the interface and customization inside of Tivimate. What I wanted though and what was the most important feature to me, was a way to be able to set up my IPTV services in the app and have them sync across all the devices. If there is a simple way to do this inside Tivimate, please let me know! I know you can back it up and restore it to other devices to essentially clone everything you have, but this has to be done manually and putting your backup in a location that you can access accross multiple internet connections and LANs is extremely time consuming. I just wanted to put my 2 cents in here and say that Iāve been using iMPlayer recently and love it. It will sync all my IPTV services and settings. You do have to have an account there that you use to login on all your devices, but once you do, everything seems to sync. You can even change your sync settings so that as soon as you login, it will update with everything you have or have changed from another device. This has been a game changer for me. I realize itās not going to go head to head with every feature of Tivimate. Everyone is going to have their own use case so I understand why Tivimate is the go-to. This may have even been discussed in here somewhere so again, I apologize but this thread started in 2023 so I wasnāt able to find it in a quick search. Just thought Iād share my experience for anyone currently looking for something similar. If you have multiple devices (they have an iphone app but I donāt have one or use one so no experience there), and you want all of your channels and favorites to be consistent across multiple devices with one login, this app has saved me a lot of time. This was the most important thing for me with all the headaches Iāve had trying to setup Tivimate and then making changes and having to go to other devices and trying to mirror those same changes. There may be an option in Tivimate to do the same and Iām just too dumb to find it/use it so please let me know if thatās the case. I just wanted to throw out iMPlayer for anyone out there thatās main need is to have a consistent experience across multiple devices with minimal work. Make sure you install the proper app for your proper type of device. They have an Android TV app (iMPlayer) as well as an Android Phone (iMPlayer Mobile) app! Also, ****(so, editing this post after now and it is $20 per year or $35 one-time lifetime subsctiptions)**** I canāt remember, but this may have actually cost some money for a āpremiumā account like Tivimate does but itās been a while back when I got it all setup and I canāt remember. It wasnāt anymore expensive than Tivimate regardless so thereās that and I want to say it had something similar where you could have it on 5 devices for that price but actually gave an option to add additional devices for more $7 per device if you have the $35 subscription anyway, unlike Tivimate that makes you simply setup another account and wouldnāt let you add more than 5 (the last time I used it anyway). I know they have a discord channel as well where they talk about requested features and future releases.

I have tried IBO Pro Player. Seems like they even had an app for my LG WebOS TV which was why I originally looked into it. It was okay but I remember wanting a little more out of the app at the time that I used it as it felt a bit sluggish moving around in the interface. Thatās been a while ago too though, like maybe a year ago. Some of these apps get better or worse really quickly. I want to say I was on both my LG TVās WebOS interface (was just surprised there was a native app for the WebOS interface) as well as probably a couple of 4K Firesticks and at that time, I felt it needed some more polish. Iām sure it is way better now but I certainly havenāt had any recent experiences with it. I generally use IPTV for watching sports as well so being able to have multiple streams up at the same time was a must feature and Iām pretty sure I couldnāt make that work back then as well. Does it have that feature now? I know both iMPlayer and Tivimate do.
Iāve been using Tivimate for a while now and agree it would be nice if it would sync to other devices because setting up urls etc. can be a pain in the neck. I am not aware of anyway to sync it. I appreciate you bringing up iMPlayer and will check into it. I know that other players have been brought up but most of the time Iām not sure exactly what is being talked about so I just enjoy the breeze of the wind flying past my head. Thanks again.
Youāre welcome! There are quite a bit of customizations you can do in the app and it even has a website that will let you do quite a lot with your account if you really want to get into some very granular things. Getting the apps sync to work across my devices didnāt take a whole lot of work though and that was absolutely HUGE for me 
. Itās so nice to make a change to my favorites on one device, get on a different device a week later, and after it updates (doesnāt take too long if you havenāt ran the app for a while on whichever device), everything I changed is now synced without me doing anything. Even when Iāve removed or added full IPTV services, it syncs all of that as well!
If you like a player with a bit more features and options, including multiview, StreamVault is an excellent choice. The developer seeks to improve it with periodic updates. You can get it for free on the Troypoint store.
Actually you can duplicate your Tivimate set up fairly easily by creating a backup on the original device and either sending the backup file through a file sharing app via your LAN or by copying the file unto a jump drive and use the restore function of Tivimate on the new device to duplicate your original setup.
Iāve done it several times, but itās been awhile. To be honest, the last few devices that Iāve set up for family, thereās enough differences in our preferences that itās not that much more time consuming just to enter the xtream URL and credentials in the new device. By the time I tweak, add and subtract categories and/or favorites, it might even be faster just to start from scratch.
Yeah thatās why I prefer the iMPlayer app. Basically install the app at this point, then login to my account with them, wait for it to sync up all on itās own, and I have an identical experience on a completely other device. Tivimate has always been a pain with the backup and restore function. It does exist and it can work, it never ājust workedā for me. It was always very finicky in how you could place your backup file. I could almost never see the file after backinig up to a specific folder or drive. I could put it on a flash drive but depending on your device, Tivimate couldnāt see it unless you used other apps to find it, even though it was connected correctly and the file was present. Or you could have an SMB share that you have to setup (definitely not for everyone to try to do) and you could sometimes get that to work but when you donāt use it all the time, you have to remember all the credentials as well. I just never had anything that was easy to replicate work for me the next time I tried to do it. Iāve been using iMPlayer now for about 6 months and while yes, itās not the same interface as Tivimate and there is a learning curve, it was definitely worth the time it took to learn the different interface (that wasnāt hard to learn for me anyway) and Iām much happier now not wasting time doing all of that other junk and making all those extra steps to make Tivimate the same experience across multiple devices. Also, Tivimate essentially doesnāt have a mobile app and the mobile app syncs as well for anyone that uses IPTV on their phones as well. I canāt remember if the mobile app costs more money but it is on the Google Play store when you search for it on your phone. You can get the downloads straight from their website too but I donāt want to type it because Iām not sure if thatās allowed.
I side load tivimate on my phone and it works fine. I can backup to the cloud or smb works to across all devices.
@itltechnician I donāt recall having any difficulty finding the BU file using File Manager+. That said, having a setup available accessible in a cloud would be very useful if you need to replicate your setup. In my case, thereās a lot of divergence of what people want for their preferences.
You can sideload it yes, but unless their dev team is doing something new, Tivimate doesnāt really have an interface that works easy with touch. Itās meant to be used with some type of a remore controller. The point of my whole post wasnāt to tell people not to use Tivimate either. I was offering an alternative for anyone with the same frustrations I was having in my use case. We all use IPTV differently, I understand that. If I had 1 TV, Iād have never used anything but Tivimate but again I use my services at different locations, on multiple TVs as well as phones. For my use case, iMPlayer has all the features I needed to have a better experience and made it far easier than trying to use Tivimate. I was simply putting my experience with iMPlayer out there in case someone had a similar scenario and was looking to try something other than Tivimate for a similar use case. Tivimate doesnāt have a phone version of their app (but can be forced on a phone albeit with a clunky interface since it wasnāt built for touch), the only way you can add more than 5 devices is you have to buy another Tivimate Premium subcription with a second email account (as of the last time I used it), it doesnāt sync anything to other devices so youāre forced to go get other apps and use networking knowledge that a ton of people donāt have and donāt want to have to struggle with just do the the process of the backup and restore feature at each of their devices anytime they want to change anything. These are just a few but the main reasons why iMPlayer works better for me and I thought I might not be the only person that was frustrated by these things and wanted to tell people with any of the same frustrations. Tivimate does plenty of things better for customization but these features are more important for my use case.
