Best EPG (Electronic Program Guide) for IPTV

@Steve_Vee nailed it! About 3 years ago someone here invited me to an invite only service that is hidden far underground. I have no idea where they are. No advertising, No internet, somewhere in a black hole  I also invited a few folks here. But they had a problem with one of their subs and sent out a notice that if anyone breaks the rules both they AND the person who invited them would be booted. So now I only invite those I personally know. It’s just too good of a service for me to take risks.

But I will say that Strong 8K + MyEPG is a very close 2nd and stands on it’s own.

  • I’m very sorry if I somehow offended you (and Steve-Vee).I, like you, am an Insider Patron, who, unlike you, happens to find navigating this site to be daunting with all the various categories and links here. I simply could not find the post in which you mentioned (publicly) that the Strong8k was a backup for you. Since I could not find it again, i decided to “guess” at your username. Alas, my memory failed me. I was simply seeking information from you that several other members have been willing to offer. In fact, I have made a list of IPTV names that other members have freely given. The list is rather long. I especially wished to hear from you because I have found many of your posts, responding to others, to be very helpful to me.You seem to be knowledgeable and experienced with this subject. Again, sorry if I somehow overstepped.

No offense taken nor was there anything in my post that suggested I was even remotely offended. I just explained why I do not give out invites to my service here hoping you would understand why. Again I will not invite anyone to my service that I don’t personally know. I don’t want to risk losing this service. Hopefully you can understand this. Even if I gave you the name of the service, without an invite to the service from a current member it would be useless. Not sure how else I would explain it and you certainly did not overstep by any means

Your words were in no way offensive to me and I understand your reason for not sharing your playlist. I actually agree with you. However,I did not know how you would respond without asking because it seems there are quite a few people here who are willing to share. I am reading these posts because I think it is worth considering finding a back-up resource. I have always gotten theses tips from Troypoint yet over the years I have had several providers that have shut down or simply disappeared.

BTW, the reason for my feeling rebuffed is the SteveVee response I saw that was an image and quote from George Carlin. It must have been in direct response to my question to you.

I finally signed up for MYEPG and as others have said it is a game changer for the EPG.
Here is what worked for me as I don’t do crypto and did not feel comfortable trying to pay with my normal cc’s or doing a bank transfer.

I am in the US and what worked for me was to first set up a Privacy.com account. This allows you to use virtual cc’s that are funded through a link to your bank account. You can create up to 12 new cards every month that can be merchant specific or just one-time use basically setting your own limits for each card.

I then set up a Wise account and used that to pay MyEPG. To fund the Wise account, I used a Privacy CC, and while it warned me that the bank may charge a “Cash Advance Fee”, that has not happened (at least not yet). My total cost is US $6.85 for a one-year Strong EPG subscription.

If anything changes, I will update.

Nice job, good find. :+1:

Just reaching out for a quick question. I am trying to get the My Epg and I am not sure how to go about setting things up in wise. I have a US account, but the seller is asking me create a UK or EU acocunt. I am not sure what this means. Can you help? Please & Thank you.

Join their Telegram Page (Link on the MyEPG website). If I remember correctly I asked about paying with a credit card and was able to pay with a credit card. They were quick to respond in Telegram

We have MYEPG and CHANNELS (has EPG built in) and EPG BEST and IPG EDITOR. If there is any comparisons or look up of channels, please let me know. Am trying to switch to CHANNELS completely in a few months.

Also don’t forget that there are a lot of free EPG sources

How do you make a payment to these guys? Is crypto the only option? The transaction fees seem rather high.

GridStreamr has all of these EPG sources in their premium offering and its 10$ per year. You just get way more than just EPG.

Please see my post 2 posts up about contacting them on their Telegram page. I forget exactly how I paid but joined their Telegram page and asked about using a credit card and they set me up

I am in US and did this for my EPG. They didn’t say anything about making a UK or EU account.

Never heard of gridstreamr. Will need to look them up. — it’s kind of weird that there are a lot of new IPTV player apps that have popped up in the last year. Not sure of all this. Could this be some AI generated tools put out there? It looks nice.

You are absolutely right. Nowadays it is hard to find (and will become harder) applications that are not run through or fully built using AI.
The big question is, who is doing the oversight… are just some users that have no background experience and knowledge around security, scalability, performance etc… and fully / blindly rely on AI output, or is it a team that can assure whatever is produced is of high standard.

Nowadays this needs to be what people investigate…
Many “players” are made available with lifetime purchase and then they dissapear or stop evolving with time.

GridStreamr is around 1 year old and has been constantly and steadly improving and adding new features. Never had any issues.

Another interesting thing, is that GridStreamr is not “another Player” actually it is a full IPTV management platform, which then is coupled with several players (including third-parties).

Have a look, nothing to lose

yeah i did that too, 3 days later i had issues, and cant figure out why, typed in that long url, bam, no more issues
