Best EPG (Electronic Program Guide) for IPTV

Ok, But my question was. Does anyone know a good EPG for these channels? Maybe a free one. I seem to have seen a world EPG awhile back. Cannot find it now.

Use the search and type in Free EPG and search and read. Lots of info available for you.

The “World” EPG is associated with MyEPG which is a paid service that enhances the existing EPG for several IPTV services. It will not do anything for the Channels that you are talking about. Those Free EPG’s typically die out as they are not supported

Hey Miki, I have a nube question for you. Never used an outside EPG before so thought I’d experiment with this free acid jezus EPG you suggested. I’m not sure the process for loading the url. But entered it in the EPG section of TiviMate and then went to a playlist and enabled and prioritized it. Then undated EPG. Does this sound right? How can I tell which EPG is currently running by looking at the live EPG (back arrow while watching a channel)?

I will get back to you shortly. Just busy at this moment. Sorry.

Ok I’m back. So as long as it’s enabled when looking for an EPG to fill a channel in you would long click on the channel in Tivimate, that opens the settings pane on the right, scroll down and click Assign EPG. This opens the search function on the right. Now this opens just the Playlist service that you are using to search, so click right twice to move your cursor over to the search :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: and then click down twice to the Binoculars and click on it. This initiates a Full Scan and will search all EPG lists you have enabled for this Playlist. This takes a little longer to load as it is searching more. Now I recommend that you have actually clicked on the channel that has no info and opened the preview in the top left corner. This ensures that the epg you find is actually for the program you are watching. Now you can click the Search on the top right and enter the Channel name you want to search for, and when it’s done you should see a list of those channels you can scroll up or down and click on the one that looks right and see if a description then shows on the left beside the blue arrow pointing to the channel you are watching in preview and it is the proper description. So if you have the channel in preview on the top left and it’s “knitting for seniors” but when you choose an EPG on the right it shows “Bowling for dollars” in the description then try another one. You may still find that none of the found epgs work but about %95 of the time you will find the proper info. Then just back out and you’re done.

Kind of complicated, but I like learning new stuff. I’d wager I don’t know 60% of what TiviMate can do. So, when watching a channel and pressing back arrow to show EPG for channels, there is no way to tell which EPG is populating that channel list? Hoping to just get one EPG to work with all channels and not assign one to each channel. I guess I’d like to have a macro view of which EPG, the one provided by my iptv provider or this acid jezus EPG works better overall.

You won’t get one EPG that will load info for every channel. If you are looking for that you need to pay for a yearly membership to a 3rd party EPG service such as what @SoloWarrior recommends. But adding in free epgs like the acidjesuz one has worked for me. I have 8 additional EPGs on every playlist and once you learn how to add the epg to a channel that doesn’t have info it’s easy. Don’t forget you rarely have more than 150 favourite channels and I only search for the rare “favourite” channel EPG that doesn’t have info, not for every channel in every playlist without info.

Good info. Thanks.

Edit: okay finally got access to tv to try this. On the left side, still in the binocular settings box, after the advanced search, I could scroll down that channel list and see that it had scraped an EPG from both of my two EPG urls depending on the channel. Cool, so that’s how it works.

Are you in the states? Just wondering how to pay for Myepg. I’m not familiar with any of the payment methods they have listed and I’m a crypto idiot so that’s out. Can you or anyone recommend a payment method?

I signed up and used Wise.com. I had never heard of it and was hoping to just use a credit card, but the fee was very low. The price you are seeing on their website is a Euro price, I paid Wise in US, they did the transaction to Euro. The entire cost of the transaction for me added less than $1.50.

Ty. Just never heard of it so wanted to make sure it was legit.

Yeah, we have things here they never use, like PayPal or Apple Pay, even our regular credit cards. I was worried about Wise at first having never heard of it, in fact I haven’t heard of any of the other online payment sites they mentioned. I took a chance, it worked out, and when my 1 year to myepg runs out, I will use them again.
