Background Apps & Process List

Make sure your allow to install apps for es file explorer is turned on.
Open and click on downloads, the file should be there, click on it and you should get a pop-up asking if you want to install, then click install.

I just did it on my shield. Go to uptodown. Search for background apps and process list. Then click on get the latest version, then scroll down to the download and click on it. Once done then click that arrow on the top bar. The apk will be listed there, long press enter on it, then click install. I have no idea what base apk is but it isn’t the background apps and processes list APK.

Oh it is @Miki, that’s just the folder name Proton drive decides to name it.

Lol. Figures, but I’m easily tricked as you know.

I just finished setting up my Onn Pro, I will add some important info in that thread but I concur, you just don’t see this app in the playstore and I absolutely want it.

that app not compatible with the ONN

That might be true from the prospective of Google Play store, I know I couldn’t find it in the Play Store although I don’t remember if I was looking from my 4k Pro.

However, as I mentioned before I used Send Files to TV to copy it from my Onn 4k box to my Onn 4k Pro and it works perfectly on the 4k Pro so…

If you have an Amazon firestick, go to search main page and type in Background Apps & Process List app. It will populate down at bottom. I use it all the time to close apps running in the background.

welcome

The app is absolutely compatible on both the Onn 4k and the newer Onn Pro. I have it on three of them but used @Miki 's post to get it for the Pro two days ago. You don’t see it in the playstore once you find it by voice. It works perfectly.

Google playstores are region specific.
Also depends what Android OS you are running.
Content will vary in both cases.

The Amazon app library is similar to Google’s, in that they will display different content and allow the download/install of different apps depending on if your Firestick is a US regged model or a Canadian one. I personally set up a US Amazon account using a friends US info so that I could get what I considered to be better access to a wider variety of apps I needed/wanted.

thanks for clarifying,i know when i tried to load onto a onn pro that it wasnt compatible, dont know why but if it is usable ,instructions would be most appreciated.

Not sure if you’re looking for installation instructions or how to use the app so here’s both.
