Amazon blocking apps on Firestick

Since Amazon has blocked every program from loading, is there anything we can do? This is ridiculous. Evidently they’re more interested in the high cable bills.

Can you be more specific? In my experience Amazon doesnt run well through a VPN, but they really havent blocked anything except Launchers. Please use a search before creating a whole new thread.

I’ve not had any issues with FireTV devices. The tv’s can be a tad difficult to find how to turn on developer options, but it can be done. Just something new to learn really. No issues using any VPN that I’ve noticed so far.

Amazon has not blocked everything, dont spread misinformation. You can still side load, if you use a vpn you need to bypass all amazon services with your vpn, only use the vpn for unverified sources. They blocked customization of your remote and device.

More than likely you were having problems with Downloader working yesterday. Their server was down so Downloader codes were not working. See the following article.

I have the Pioneer 50" 4K UHD HDR LED Smart TV (PN50951-22C) - Fire TV Edition - 2021. No problems getting into Developer options.

I use my VPN and I don’t have any problem at all.

And you shouldn’t. I won’t connect to the net without an active VPN.

I’ve tried it both ways with Surfshark – vpn for unverified sources only (tunneling everything else), and vpn for everything except tunneling Netflix and Prime. And I can’t tell any difference. Might be different for Amazon since I’m using android tv.

They both work the same. I prefer safety regardless of an app being verified or not, as I personally don’t want my identity stolen. So VPN for everything and whether FireTV or Android my VPN has worked on everything, thank god.

Same as GoogleTV, you need an account. FireTV is no different.
