You won’t believe how many subscribers Bally Sports Plus has
I’d say 203,000 as a guess
There pricing philosophy is just off to me. Why would people pay twenty dollars a month for extremely limited content compared to other streaming services. Yes I know that the rights to broadcast sporting events are expensive, but you get so little for what you pay for. This is just a horrible sales pitch by the organization in my opinion.
A standard streaming service (let’s say something like hulu with ads) = Thousands of titles to stream for less than ten dollars a month
Bally Sports = Limited content, plus live sporting events, for twenty dollars a month.
What would the average consumer choose to spend money on?
People are addicted to their home teams, and often this is the only way to see it live. Another reason our iptv subs are so great. I can usually get four sources for my MLB game in case one stream is shaky or BSN is showing beach volleyball instead of the game.
Sinclair/Bally failed initially by WAY overpaying for the rights to these markets. Wish Bally would take Sinclair with them…
