Users can now install Xfinity on Firestick with the brand new Xfinity Stream app from the Amazon App Store. The app lists that it is currently in Beta, however, everything seems to be working fabulously for your streaming needs. Xfinity customers have long awaited the arrival of the Xfinity app to Firestick and Fire TV.…

Thanks for the advice. I’ve always found it . . . odd? . . that Amazon would create a streaming device that allows “unauthorized” apps to be loaded, (sideloading)nothing to do with “illegality” (pirating). . but Amazon is purely about revenue generation, mostly for itself. I have Roku sticks on several TVs because my Xfinity/Comcast service requires $10/mo cable box rentals for every TV, and better to stream the Xfinity Stream app. But they don’t allow sideloading. I’m sure there are arguments about risks beside loss of revenue. But with Amazon firesticks constantly updating the OS, I fear one day it will disable the sideloading feature. I do have an Onn, but the 4k model. I read where the 4k “Pro” is better, because. . ? it’s faster or more storage? Surprised firesticks don’t include more storage for downloading videos. But I think you points are well taken. I guess I stick with firesticks because familiarity/experience, and I’m not yet a full “cord-cutter” but with skyrocketing fees I’m getting close ;o). I’m not well-read on this topic but I’m curious about the future of wide-open streaming an access to videos and materials on “the internets.” Thanks. Hope someone has an idea on how to resolve this stick, but no big deal.
