In recent weeks I have purchased two new Firesticks. All working ok except for the same problem with both. New install of Kodi 19.3, install Diggz repo, OK.
The problem I have is the Chef Wizard will not install Xenon Plus v7.5. I can install other builds from the Wizard with no problem but I get is an “ incorrect URL link” message.
A couple of thoughts come to mind. Did you try Troy’s install method? It uses a different repo link, and do you have enough free space? Over the years I’ve found that the Firestick works best when you keep 1.5-2GBs of free space.
Thanks Miki, storage space is fine 1.5G. I have found since posting that if I install say Netflix Clone then Need for Speed I can then install Xenon Plus.
I have always used the diggzrepo link but next time I do a clean Kodi install I will try Troy’s other recommended link.
I may have misspoke, it was the diggz repo.
Ok so I just followed Troy’s vid being sure to use the 19 options as I have Matrix 19.3 once installed I waited for it to install and update addons and I now have the Xenon Plus build installed. I started out with 2.55 GB of free space on my Firestick 4K Max and after install and complete cleanup including the xenon wiz I now have 2.15 GB free and a working build. Ok so more to add. I closed and reopened Kodi and the chef wizard is now not working and cleaning tools won’t run. Now I have to learn how to uninstall a build.
Ok so more. I could not find any way to remove the Xenon Plus build on Kodi Matrix 19.3. I know there must be a way but I read 4 different tutorials and all had similiar directions to open Kodi and go to the menu on the left side, but I don’t know how as it now goes directly to the Xenon Plus home page. Oh well, I just opened the “manage installed apps” clicked on Kodi and cleared data. Now to reinstall. Mad Titan, The Crew and Seren again. Be good practice at least.
You go into your settings and change your skin settings to default and uninstall the build. You can also reset kodi as well.
The build does work, I used the guide 2 days ago to test something. You may be doing something wrong.
As I said all good now the work around was to install a different build from the Chef Wizard then change to Xenon Plus.
I have been using Troy’s install guides for a couple of years now as I find them very easy to follow, next time I do a clean install I will use the new link he has provided.
Cheers all.
