Actually, Samuel Jackson recently brought that up in an interview. He said there was specific wording in his contract w/Disney that had it not been caught could have used his likeness in other projects. He said, just like in Secret Invasion how they were trying to clone Avengers w/DNA found all over Wakanda after Endgame, they could use all the excessive scans they took of each acter to AI them onto other actors.
I do believe they want you to believe they are standing behind writers, but honestly, they can’t work with writers on strike.
