Wolfgang Launcher Startup App on Boot

Does anyone know of any app that using Wolfgang launcher can auto load an app on startup?

i searched for “Wolfgang launcher” and got zero results ?

not sure if this will help but found….
Android TV / Google TV:
Use the Launch On Boot app from the Google Play Store. After installation, enable the app, select your desired app, and toggle on “Launch on boot” and “Launch on wake.” For some devices like Sony Bravia, enable Bravia Pro Mode (via a button sequence on the remote) to access startup app settings.

Pretty sure they meant Wolf Launcher. Rumour is it was named after this guy!

Searched in Google play no app called launch on boot, but downloaded Autostart manager, it did load the app I wanted to auto load, I also have a problem with Surfshark not logging into VPN on reboot of my shield so added it to Autostart manager but it didn’t work, I have to always have to open Surfshark manually, I have a support ticket open with their support and they are investigating. Any input would be appreciated

Look in Troys toolbox for launch on boot

Surfshark not loading on start of streamer box can stem from several causes, especially on devices like Google TV or Chromecast. Here are the most effective troubleshooting steps:

  • Check for App Availability: The Surfshark app may not appear in the Google Play Store on your streamer box due to regional restrictions or device compatibility. Try searching directly for “Surfshark” or use a third-party launcher like Projectivity Launcher to install it manually.

  • Enable ‘Discover on LAN’: On some devices, this setting in the Surfshark app’s Advanced Settings allows the app to detect and connect properly. Go to Settings > Advanced > Discover on LAN and turn it on.

  • Restart and Reinstall: Uninstall the app completely, restart the streamer box, then reinstall the latest version from the official Surfshark website or Play Store.

  • Verify Service Status: If the app starts but doesn’t connect, check the background service. On Android TV, go to Settings > Apps > Surfshark > Permissions > Background Services and ensure it’s allowed to run.

  • Use Custom DNS or Restart Router: Sometimes network-level issues prevent the app from initializing. Try resetting your router or using custom DNS (e.g., 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8) on your streamer box.

  • this is all i got from a search….you have a ticket already so maybe…..

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the surfshark, no help. No discover on lan in my surfshark settings. do not want to modify DNS, since other apps like Nordvpn and Expressvpn do not behave this way and they auto connect, in nvidia settings checked for permissions and no issues there.

Wolfgang’s puck. :ice_hockey:
