I’ve been doing the prepaid plan for quite a while now. I got tired of paying an exorbitant price for a new phone through my carrier and then making monthly payments for it (as well as my contract payments). I just buy my phone privately now and activate it. I get a loyalty and a senior discount. I’m not a huge user of the web through my phone so it’s been working great for me.
myself as well. Been using Mint Mobile for $45/3 months and no issues. 
Verizon user. $27 and some change/month here. I could probably do better if I looked around but I’m kinda lazy. Verizon has been good for me so far. Also, I’m in rural Midwest with limited providers.
Verizon user also (30 years on them and their legacy companies). No deals for me - $180 a month for 3 phones I think we have 12GB data a month shared among all of us.
