It’s one thing to not be aware enough to get taken for that much money on a likely crap box and believe it’s a good deal…

…but then to publicly brag on social media that you invested in and are a happy user of certain apps and services was even a poorer choice.

As an “experimental” purchaser of one of these loaded boxes 5 years ago, I share the following with the caviat they are not for everyone. 1) the lifetime IPTV subscription service is excellent, with very little lag or buffering, a good selection of live tv, VOD, TV Series and catch-up along with responsive customer service. 2) the box hardware is mediocre, with a 4 core processor maxing out at 1.4 ghz, 4 gb of RAM, 128 gb internal memory and the LAN connection maxes out at 100 mbs. Ventilation is poor, with only one set of vents on the bottom. Because of that, I put 2 small usb cooling fans under it to keep the processor from overheating and extend the life of the box. 3) Since the iptv service is “married” to the box’s MAC address, you can’t use the included service on another box. 4) the homescreen launcher, while serviceable, can’t be changed. That said, the box is rooted, you can add other utilities and service apps without limitation. 5) At this point, I have gotten more entertainment from it than I paid for but I think that is only because I make the effort to keep the box running cool with the fans every time I use it.

Free Netflix and Hulu? Sure the app. If you want to watch you pay.
