Why Can't AI Replace Subtitles

I just had a thought that made me say humm. With AI taking over things. Why can’t or when will AI replace the need for subtitles. It would be great to select shows/movies to watch and have to option to select the language you prefer. There are quiet a few foreign tv series and movies I would enjoy. I had to pass them by, because I can only deal with a line or two.

Just a thought, what are yours?
