Whole-home-iptv-dvr-with-tivimate

After following all the steps on the video, and I’m using a Wi-Fi connection, my Trivimate is unable to pick up my PC, I done every step exactly as indicated on the video several times, went back and redid it, but not able to connect my Tivimate to my PC. I do get the link on my PC saying that it is connected, or was created and was sharing. In Tivimate when I click on the IP address I get response of "no folders "
Any suggestions would I be appreciated

Sounds like a missing step. Go threw it again.

Did you go into your VPN and check the Local area network button? That seems to be the step some people miss.

It could be IP static setup
Setup a static IP address, in windows search for network property and find IP address 192.168… and write it down " don’t write down the slash/ and the numbers after that".

Then search for the network connection you’re using eg: Lan network or WiFi network depends on what you use. To select both are the same.

Select the network You’re using, Left click then select properties, click on internet protocols v4, then properties, in general above section select use the following IP address then type in the IP address you wrote earlier from you network property.

Here it could be a typos in the IP address.
192.168…, then click on the subnet mask this will automatically be filled with
555.555.0,
in default gateway type in
192.168.1.1

Also check for typos.
In the section below type
Preferred DNS server " this should be the same as in default gateway"
192.168.1.1

Alternate DNS server
1.0.0.1 this is for cloud flair.
Click ok the close. If you completed the steps correctly. You just configured static IP address.

Another settings to check.
Search for sharing, select advanced sharing settings.

Then. Turn off password protected sharing. This could be also forgotten.
