Based on what you are saying, it sounds like Nvidia may have further restricted their updated operating system from downloading open source apps. I wasn’t happy about the operating system restrictions and dumped my Shield 2 years ago for an open android tv box on which I can download open source apps (including Troypoint, Filelinked, alternative app stores, etc.) with no restrictions. The Shield has great hardware but it absolutely sucks otherwise when it comes to available apps and streaming options. There are a lot of good quality open android boxes to compete with the Shield which you can now buy that weren’t available a few years ago. Unless you are really into gaming, there is no real advantage in having the Shield for streaming.
what update ? mine is running fine and have latest
I updated it today and downloaded rapid app, filelinked and when I tried tro open them the screen turns black.
I was going to sell it and reset it, but I changed my mind and now when I reinstalled apps that I deleted none of them works.
