What is Bypasser on Surfshark VPN?

This might sound dumb but on Surfshark it let’s you route your apps via VPN. Does this mean if you don’t route them or any through bypasser that your Ip address is exposed? Do I have to choose which one’s to bypass and which one’s not to? And if I leave both switches off what effect does that have?

Thanks!

Nope, bypass means simply bypass the vpn and use your actual ip. Some apps will not work on vpn for identification purposes such as a banking app etc. leaving both these off everthing is routed through vpn by default.

Kodi is the only app that I feel needs to use the VPN. Can you confirm that the way I have it set up is correct.

Within Bypasser, I have the Route via VPN switch on. And I have Kodi listed in the list.

I’m also assuming I have to be connected to a VPN server also. With this configuration, Kodi is the only app that will use the VPN, correct?

You’re correct

Is there an easy way to verify this while I’m running KODI, or some of the other apps?

Thanks for your earlier quick reply.
