this has happened to me a few times i just run restore it leaves all your files intact and gets rid of pop up
It doesn’t give you the option to uninstall Edge
It should in ADD/REMOVE from Control Panel.
Well I think the system restore worked because so far no pop ups about viruses have came up but I am not sure and I have to monitor it more closely when I get back from work tonight
always has for me
Also it only gives you the option to repair Microsoft Edge doesn’t give you the option to uninstall it
if you used system restore you shouldnt have to it should all be clear
I’m still curious what brought it on in the first place.
some sites offering something to good to be true or apps that you think will be good and turn out to load the pop ups instead lots out there
Yup and if you are not using some type of Internet Security software on a Windows PC you are more prone to getting this crap
MarkxG,
What do you recommend for Internet Security software I have Windows 10 Pro.
I’ve been using Trend Micro Internet Security for a few Years now on Windows PC. Search the net for a coupon code
MarkxG, Thank You, Sir. I appreciate your sage assistance.
If it keeps taking you back to Mcaffee then you probably have some version on your computer. Go to Control Panel/Programs and if you find McAffee uninstall it and do a restart to see if this solved your problem. McAffee may have come pre-installed on your computer.
Same old, same old…dancing with Windoze. A more permanent solution, especially if you are not into dancing, is to replace Windoze with Linux. Haven’t had a virus issue since 2005!
