Basic question about Real Debrid, givenj that “free” sources appear to be disappearing rapidly. My understanding is that Real Debrid scrapes sources from all of the “free” providers out there an holds (links?) them on its own servers. Is that it? So what happens when a “free” provider shuts down? Are the files maintained on the Real Debrid servers or do they disappear from those also? If all the “free” providers shut down, what becomes of Real Debrid?

Real debrid uses other sources as well, such as torrents that others download. You can also add your own torrents from public trackers and stream them that way.
Real Debrid uses Premium sources not Free sources. That is the whole advantage of it. When selecting a stream in most addons you will see the type and number of premium (RD streams) vs Free (Non Debrid) streams. Back in the Day it was not needed because there were more playable free sources and I think the Dev’s spent more time maintaining them. Now for whatever reason the Free sources suck therefore in order to use KODI you really need RD

It’s all done right on the Web page. When you sign up there’s a torrents page and all you do is copy and paste the magnet link. Then you can stream from the Web site or Kodi via https

Where do the “Premium” sources get their material from?
Don’t know and don’t care . But that’s why we pay for a RD sub. To get those sources

i am using premiumize/me and just wondering if any issues discussed above are relevant to me
