Weyd opinions ya or nay

Would like to see how anyone using weyd is liking or disliking it and why. If you need to put real debris on it then it’s only as good as real debrid is right?

I went down the weyd street about a year ago, unless something new has hapned I saw little need as im quite happy with RD on stremio and see no need at least for myself.

Is stremio better than kodi or just user preference. Been using kodi and RD for years and have no problems.

similar I guess. I would say kodi has more options etc and stremio is mostly just movies and series. Stremio stands out that you can set it up on a pc and that setup is carried no matter where you log in.

Thanks that’s what I thought. It’s real debrid that you are really using the app is mostly a way to access it. I’m using stremio mostly but have syncler also but think when it runs out going to just use stremio and a couple back ups

I think @TXRon is selling Stremio just a tad short. It has addons for live TV channels, Web channels, Anime, Podcasts, Sports, Videos and TV series. However I have personally only ever used it for Videos and series so can’t say how well it does the other stuff.

Been using it for a couple months now. I think the main benefit is simplicity. User interface very plain and simple. RD, Trakt and Orion integrate really well. My wife loves the simplicity. It’s fast and it works and I think I paid around 15 bucks for a year for 5 devices. Would I sub again?, yes to keep the wife happy but will probably get the lifetime for 75 bucks.

Thats what I did. I really like Syncler but I really didnt need it with Stremio so I also let my sub run out.

I think stremio is simple and pretty straight forward. It’s fast and dependable and is free except rd. Syncler is a little complicated setting up and a pain paying for. I think I might give weyd a go for a year for 15 bucks it’s cheap.

I use Stremio with out RD just VPN and it works flawless. But have to use VPN!

That’ll be a great point Papa.
If I was going to set up a box for a nontechie, I’d probably set it up with Weyd based on TP’s recommendation.

razor, it’s mainly user preference.
Stremio (and Weyd apparently…I haven’t tried it) required less of a learning curve after it’s been set up.
I generally use Kodi for several reasons, but Stremio definitely has a better initial UI.

Ive been using weyd for couple years never tried streamio but plan to check it out since reading comments the one plus i see in weyd is how fast you can watch newer movies and series had syncler but didnt need both so i let syncler go.Ive see no other apk as efficient when it comes to how quick you can watch the latest show.

Thanks Mbanks.

I think I’m going to try a 7 day trial, just to check it out.

I was interested in checking it out myself but got stuck on the install thru the downloader app. Got a message saying “Problem parsing the package” What’s that about? Corrupt APK?

so, that would effectively rule out all fire stick users? Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there some sort of a repository of scrapers for Weyd? I just now downloaded the app and am using the one scraper that was used in the TP tutorial. However, there is also, the Orion scraper that appears in the scrapper settings. I’m not a fan of Orion (free), so I didn’t authorize that one. TP’s “tinyurl.com” works fine, but I was wondering if more scrapers are available.

I am checking online, but it seems that tinyurl is the only I can find so far.

Nevermind. I found a support group on Telegram

Here is a chart of device compatibility with Weyd.

Thanks for the info…very helpful

Doesn’t mention Buzz X5 but it definitely works. :slightly_smiling_face:
As well doesn’t mention Ugoos UT8 and it works but a little buggy. Had to use VLC player and still had issues with freezing :person_shrugging:
