Hey Rich, I just love learning. Pleased to meet you and have a wonderful day. So much to learn, but being retired is a bonus.

So proud to be invited. What a fountain of information. I’ve submitted a couple of questions and responses have been helpful and courteous. I’ve been in a group or two where you’re treated like an idiot for asking a question. Thanks all.
No one should be treated like an idiot. My only thing to anyone especially new commers is to use the search function as alot of info has already been said. But other than that use the site read the guides and ask the questions.
Thanks for being a patron
One small thing I’d like to add. Please, if you post a question and get a solution, please click the button to mark the solution and a thank you would also be nice. Many times we never hear back if something worked and that leaves threads open and maybe unanswered. We really appreciate knowing if our "solution " or advice worked.
Like I always said to the other superintendents on the other golf courses I worked a pat on the back once in a while goes a long way and doesn’t cost anything. It’s nice to know when you are doing a good job and appreciated. All the people here that help everyone puts in a lot of time and effort to help everyone and we all appreciate them. So a big thank you to you all .![]()

Thanks for the welcome. Talk about old I used the internet when, it was the arpanet and DDN. I also worked on a project with Grace Hopper, she always said she was the #2 programmer. Those were the days, you programmed in machine language. After my discharge from the Navy, I worked for IBM, and then went back to the Government and worked for the Navy. I worked 32 years for my country.
After my retirement from the Government, I taught and coached in High School, and I played tournament softball. I finally retire for good when I was 60 so I could spend time with my family. I have 5 children, 5 grand, and 5 great grandchildren. My oldest child is 64.
Hi Patachou. Welcome to The Villages! I have lived here 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! There is a Cord Cutters group here in The Villages. Although I am not very active in the group, it is still a great way to learn and share experiences with other cord cutters.
Thanks for your service and enjoy your retirement and family you earned it👍go NAVY
