What do you guys do for a living? I my self drive truck. I also help here at troypoint.
I am retired from Quality Assurance in a pharmaceutical company out of San Diego CA. My wife and I retired to a small town outside San Antonio TX. We lived in Texas previously for 25 years and moved to San Diego only to keep our jobs in the pharmaceutical company. We moved back to be close to our grandkids. Being retired, I watch a lot of TV and pretty much am in charge of keeping everything running smoothly. This also includes doing the same for my daughter. My hobbies include playing and studying chess, composing, playing, recording and mixing original music, astronomy, fishing, fossil and rock hunting, to name a few. Not to mention spending as much time as possible with my grandsons. So, I stay busy.

I do still play video games as a hobby when i have time.
I used to build computers and such, i used to camp and fish. When my kids are older im going to do that with them, i love camping and fishing. My main goal is to have a house with land… in canada is impossible… (overpriced)
Housing and land are overpriced everywhere. Funny how when you are young, you want to buy a house and land. When you retire and get older, you no longer can handle the upkeep of the land or house and end up selling and downsizing to something more manageable.
This is cool! I work for our County have 4 Grandkids and have been married 22 years. I enjoy fishing and gaming, but favorite hobby is tinkering around with technology…especially downloading and checking out different APK’s on the Shield Pro and TiVo Stream 4K. Haven’t been able to find an ONN box to mess with yet but will eventually. This place has been a joy to be a part and have learned so much from members
I worked for the county on there 3 golf courses as a greenskeeper for twenty years and loved being outside except in below 30 degrees. I use to do a lot of hunting and fishing up north but kinda fell out of the hunting and now I’m 60 and live in Florida and have a landscaping business and feel like I’m 80 so don’t do much fishing anymore even though I live on the water go figure. I love setting up and testing apps and various programs and when I can afford to get a new box enjoy getting them set up and working. This site and all the people associated with it are fantastic . Love to help out when I can but don’t have much to offer. Unless you need to know something about grass or building a car . I also love my 56 Chevy . Well rambling now so stream on everyone and thanks for all your help and support
I am retired and was in insurance claims as a career for 42 years. I’ve been into streaming technology as a hobby for the past 6 years and am fascinated by the strides and improvements that have been made over that time. As a founding member, I joined Troypoint in 2016, when “cordcutting” was still a relatively new phenomenon and find the knowledge shared here to be invaluable. I particularly like researching streaming devices along with seeking better ways to get the most stable streams possible.
I to am amazed at the advancements in technology over the last 30 yrs or so, since I’ve gotten into computers. I learned early on, that it takes a “team” to run sites like Troy’s, and to give advice across a huge range of not only devices but OS’s. The ones I admire the most are coders. I love that every day I look through posts and see what issues I can give help with, and what issues I need to learn more about. Keeps me young.

I’m retired in The Great State of Texas. My last job was Truck Driving only about 10 years just to kill time and see the country(I thought)…pretty tough job and I could swear I was ran off the road by a Dracoo guy once. Before that I was in petrochem in operations and prior to that a Mechanical inspector for petrochem. and it goes on and on…
I am like most here big into streaming but started out in computers, tech support and in the late 90’s owned an online tech support group(forum). Now days I am all in linux and windows are days gone by. I also like to mod android boxes for others and really enjoy building them for the elderly and others on low income.
I retired early while driving due to a disease that struck me down called myasthenia gravis. That took my big rig driving away and cars as well at the time. Now with the disease under control I drive again(cars) and enjoy cussing out mean old truck drivers…J/k
When I build a box for someone I always try to personalize it with my own graphics and while its time consuming its what I love to do while watching baseball or golf.
