Wealthfront bank

What was your recommendation on this company? I seem to have lost that information. They don’t have a customer service number. Please advise!

Don’t think according to Troy’s recent mail a review is done yet.

Wealthfront

I’m planning on doing a full review of Wealthfront in the near future.

I’ve been using the Cash Wealthfront account for the past ten months and I’m earning anywhere from 5% to 5.50% interest.

I can quickly withdraw money from my account when needed.

Transfers between Wealthfront and my primary bank is simple and only requires a few clicks of the mouse.

I will definitely be using this for many years to come as a safe way for getting a guaranteed rate of return on my money.

Im also interested in hearing Troys take on Wealthfront. He mentions it in his newsletter. Bookmarked :+1:

Wealthfront is not a bank. The assets held in wealthfront is not federally insured. However the money that they utilize and sweep it through banks is federally insured how they do that I do not know.

@AJS1 You are exactly right. Depending on the amount of money that you deposit into their site, they spread that across multiple banks which provides up to 8 million in FDIC insurance through those specific banks.

I’ve been extremely happy with this service and used it for most of 2023.

Doesn’t make sense letting money sit in these banks when we can get interest like this through Wealthfront. I don’t like tying my money up in CDs as I want to have it available at any time. Transferring money back and forth from my bank is simple and quick.

Here is a review that covers all of the important information if you are interested.

I have a significant amount money languishing in my checking account and I’m taking a hard look at wf. Can’t help but be nervous about turning loose of the money. I started the application and one of the very first things it wanted was a link to my bank account. This came before any questions about my investment goals / preferences. I’m a retired senior and absolutely cannot afford any mistakes. I have read a number of reviews on the service and they are positive. Still in today’s world it’s not ez to trust web reviews. Not sure what, but I need something that makes feel better about it before I commit.

I trade…or should say invest through Robinhood. They give 5% on money that you let sit and not invest (5.25% 1st month). Then on money you have invested you can loan stocks for profit( I just started this, so waiting to see how it plays out)

I use WealthFront, and it is good. Been with them now for going on two years and glad I did. (Some of) my money is now working for me instead of me working for it…eh you know the drill. I was so glad to read when Troy spoke about it recently. Looking forward to his review so I can see if it relates to my overall positive view of them. As with all types of Investments and money management, Your mileage may vary, and past performance may not be indicative of future results. In reality it can only go one of three ways: up, down or stay the same. I do appreciate the interest rates, however, as it sure beats my so called traditional bank. Good luck and stay safe out there!

Keep up the reviews … I might ask Miki for a loan to test the water

Sure thing. If I can just remember the combination to my mattress.

Question for @TROYPOINT has Wealthfront completely replaced your bank? After reading it appears as what they do…

Hey guys and gals and non gender, this is kind of off the subject but the federal government in America has been advising Banks to monitor certain words used in their transactions. And that includes political or religious statements.

Just read that on another site. Marxisim 101
