Hello @jgchess here is the new video that I just released a couple of weeks ago.
This is probably just my OCD acting up but, when my ONN box goes into slideshow mode, there is a temperature displayed that is not my local area. (The time is correct, however).
I did not see anywhere in the settings to change the temperature to my location.
Has anyone figured this one out?
If I remember correctly, you have to turn off your VPN momentarily, then go to settings and find where to set the weather location. Sorry, as Iām not currently at my box to do a step-by-step for you.
That is correct JDMotes. The temperature on the screen saver screen on the ONN is from where ever you have your VPN city set to.
Well, my VPN uses an Atlanta server and the temperature displayed was way off from what it should be in ATL.
How to pause a program on a ONN Pro
When you say program, what exactly do you mean, and what app are you using?
Press the OK button on your remote while watching something and the player controls should pop up for you to use.
After around an hour and a half or so, both these devicesā BT connections start crapping out with all 3 speaker systems that weāve triedā¦an Ilive sound bar, a small JBL carry around, and Tribit cheapie speaker. Hard reboots restore the connections, but for only a very short period of time.
The connection problems are only with the Pro and Plus as both the old and new models of the ONN 4k, our MeCool KM1, our phones or the Dynalink dinosaur TV box donāt display the same behavior.
Only thing comes to mind, is possible updates to your devices might the problem and box upates
@elginherd ā¦. @Paddyboy57 raised a good point, when my Pro finely updated to Android 14- not that i wanted it to, i had updates turned off- it started randomly turning off just my TV, and when i turned the TV back on the show i was watching would pop right back upā¦.and just after a few times over the course of several days it quit doing itā¦i know that doesnāt help ya but just saying the update to 14 caused problems for many peopleā¦.
I think that yāall may be correct. The 2 4kās were updated to Android 14 also, but their CPUs are not as robust as either the Pro or Plus, either.
Itās not a biggie in a sense, because I do have other devices that do BT well, but itād be nice to have either the Pro or Plus on my wifeās TV or available to use when I hook up the projector for movie night.
Wow scrolling to the bottom of this thread on a PC takes some doing.
On both my Onn and Ugoos AM9, my bluetooth earbuds and speaker eventually get to the point that they intermittently go āsound offā and then āsound onā. I shut the speakers off (not the box) then on to fix the problem and it doesnāt always do it. No clue. I thought it was my cheapo earbuds but I got a new cheapo bluetooth speaker and it does it too. Frustrating but used to it.
@GraceWilson ,
, if you put your cursor over there on the right where it shows the number of comments you grab that blue bar(on my PC its blue) and drag it up or you can click anywhere between the top date and bottomā¦.

I am going by Troy on UTube for Onn instruction. To download project ivy you MUST type it in(using mic takes you to you tube) and the name is Projectivy Launcher.Type name for tvQuickActions Pro plus there is a $3.99 charge for the latter. Do I need the latter if I donāt care about dedicated buttons on remote? Is there an updated Troy point video for Onn 4 K Pro instructions?
@joc, projectivy is in the TroyPoint toolbox for easy installs
Thanks! Troy said to load four specific apps from the Google play store otherwise all of the features might not be available. Maybe because instructions were for Onn box?
I never set up Quick Actions Pro and never paid a penny to upgrade the app(s) and my Onn works perfectly for my use. I wasnāt interested in button re-mapping either but be forewarned, I may be the laziest, lumpiest streamer on this site.
