I must say since I fired up my onn4k pro I havent had to do anything with it other than install my apps etc… its just been great so far.

just a quick ? with the onn pro you have to set up with a google account…is it like the other onn box in that after setting everything up-can you log out of the google account and it will still function ? thanx…
Correct except for apps such as sparkle which require an active account to link it and services like voice used for hands free actions.

Kudos to TXRON on his posting on the ONN 4K PRO.! I got mine delivered on Saturday and can’t be more pleased with it…great little box. I tried one of the cheap ones and basically put it to the side for a spare or give it to someone who needs a one as it didn’t work as well as the Fire products I already had so you know it was bad. LOL
The bad news is now I want to replace the rest of my Fire products!, but since 2 of them are on TV’s that aren’t used as often I will only pick up one more. I find 4K PRO is pretty comparable to my Shield.
In a totally different topic, I ran into a problem with ES File explorer when setting up the 4K PRO. It seems the is a glitch when trying to sign into my One Drive. After entering your user name, it you can’t enter your user name and the Authenticator appears as just a straight line and you can’t see any data. I checked it on my other boxes and the same thing happened. Even my daughter tried in on hers and the same problem. I deleted it app and reinstalled with no luck. Even went to Aptoiid to pull an older version but no luck. The good news is I found another file manager, File Manager + which is simpler and easier to use than ES and works great.
The newer gen Onn 4k boxes are good little boxes for $20. Maybe you have an older one, but they are a good way to take a lesser used TV and de-Amazon it.
I totally agree with you on File Manager +. I use it on all my devices. I would buy premium, but the benefit isn’t needed enough to spend the money lol.
Here in Canada the scalpers are out in full force. Ads abound for the ONN 4K Pro and price ranges from $110 - 190 cdn.

Can you buy this in the uk 
I watched the Troypoint review and bought one. I must say it gives the Firestick cube a darn good run for less money and in fact it appears much more stable than the cube. I have a couple of the small Onn ones but this new 3 gb with 32 gb of memory is working just fine for me.

On a side note… I’ve had about 15 of the first Gen ones… And prolly 12 of these… At least 4 of them have just gone to recovery mode on their own, on a restart… I’ve never been able to get one to move past this screen or fix one…I think I’ve tried everything… Tried using the buttons to cycle thru as ur says… But the second u let go of a button it restarts and guess to same recovery screen., tried adblink, no luck… Any ideas would be great… If anyone has had luck with the screen…lmk… Thank u

Walmart Onn 4K Pro on sale for $39 with possible $5 walmart credit. Not sure when sale ends. Just ordered me another one for in store pickup.
