Quite impressed as well to be honest

Tx Troy. Amazing with such little RAM. Looking forward to your test with adding storage and ethernet. Just curious as to what Onn customer service is like. I know that has little to do with a device review, but for me it is a vital part of the device equation.
Good question Miki. I think there is little to no customer service from Onn. I tried reaching out to them multiple times in the past asking about a new device and never heard back from them.
According to Consumer Reports, Onn TVs are manufactured somewhere in China.
Who Makes Onn TVs? (Hint: It’s Not Durabrand) - SmartHomeBit
Element Electronics services the warranty repairs.
That’s a shame, as after the first Onn I bought, and my poor experience with it, I was hoping they would do a better job in that department. I haven’t used my Sticks in months and have pretty much migrated to Android TV and I was hoping that service and simplicity would go hand in hand with the ONN. I wonder how Walmart is handling the service aspect of the products their selling? Thanks for this preview, it may be worth a test run, but going to wait for your added storage and ethernet test. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I wonder if it’s a different department for streaming devices from the TV’s.
If anyone has issues with them, especially right of the bat, I would bet dollars to doughnuts Walmart would just replace it, no or a minimal amount of questions asked. Not worth their time to risk an unhappy customer for something that costs so little.
@Miki for $15 or $20 for the Box I would never expect or hope to have customer service. And what would you need them for? I have the ONN 4K Box and love it. And if I did have a problem or it bricked I would just walk into Walmart and I’m sure they would give me a new one. It’s not like I spent $200 on some box. I don’t know maybe it’s just me but as long as I’ve been streaming I have never had any customer service expectations for any of my boxes or ever had a need to contact anyone or even the Firestick when I first started.
Thanks Troy. Another outstanding presentation.
Cost me $9 a trip to Walmart. We live on pensions and very limited income, so with my original 2 ONN box purchase and subsequent disposal of them, I can’t afford to waste that much money. So I like to try, through electronic no cost means, to get assistance if possible, but I get your point.
Good video as always Troy. I always finish your tutorials and videos more empowered with knowledge.
Lots of good response from other members also.
My response would be for $15 … Heck Yeah and it’s portable enough to put in your shirt pocket. Thx guys for all you do ![]()
Just as I predicted greatly improved from previous iteration just was the 4k box and Walmart isn’t Amazon doesn’t have any experience in electronics and device development but they learned from previous mistakes.
Great job sir TP !
Q: What adapter or hub truly works for Ethernet connection that also has an USB remote control dongle in port for the air mouse remotes? I’ve previously tried several hub adapters to connect an Ethernet cable to Onn 4K and Firesticks with no difference in speed testing.
Probably as far as fixing on stuff, but I would imagine the same company runs the warranty. Bottom line, ONN is manufactured somewhere in China and is backed by a warranty that is also run by a China company.
Tbh, I never even heard of ONN until Walmart started selling their ONN devices. Onn seems very secretive about who the actual manufacturer is and that gives me pause enough.
I agree with your video completely. After loading my fav iptv app, I test and was very surprised and very happy with overall performance. Also let run all afternoon, and stick itself was warm like all others not excessive by any means. When I first started setup, I too was like oh no this has taken way to long just to see home screen ! But I really like the stick and 100% agree with all of your video and just wanted to add my opinions. Overall I would have to give this a high rating on performance for what it cost and what it is. Thanks again to you and all of your toolbox !
Maybe time for a Christmas
to
and ask for an Onn 4K Box. Afterall I’ve been a good
all year. OK OK maybe just most of the year.
Troy why don’t you add Close Caption to your videos
Thank you! Not sure if these are available in Canada. Will have to take a look.
