Has anyone used VseeBox 8K streaming devices?
You mean the V5 Pro that says it supports 8K but in the specs only lists 6K@60fps? I have not used it. But hardly any TVs support 8K right now. And there are no 8K sources to play. Plus it doesn’t say anything about upscaling, just support for. And the CPU and GPU aren’t as good as the Nvidia Shield Pro.
I was looking at vSeeBox Elite Ultra, yes you are correct to get full 8k I guess TV and program has to be 8k as well. Anyways I was just wondering.
Doesn’t have subtitles…
That was a great article! Super easy to follow for someone who is not totally tech savvy but really wanted to explain to her aunt why that “miracle box” that she just purchased from someones friends cousins x father inlaws stepdad probably wasn’t the best idea. haha
How is this box and its streaming any more illegal than Troypoint giving me instructions on installing Kodi and the different repositories? It isnt stored or downloaded so how is streaming illegal?
Its not. It’s just an expensive option. The software package works very well but its proprietary so if they ever go out of business, you’re left with a $400 android box.

I just checked out the new vSeeBox offerings. Somewhat improved hardware, same illegal software pre-installed. Still WAY overpriced.
Their lies know no end! Check out what they say about the legality of their boxes:
IS VSEEBOX LEGAL?
Yes, vSeeBox is fully legal to own and operate in the United States.
vSeeBox provides a platform for accessing content that is legally available online.
Users must ensure they only stream from licensed sources.
Accessing paid channels, subscription services or premium content without proper authorization may violate copyright law and expose you to legal liability.
vSeeBox ships as a blank slate. All applications are user installed via official app stores or third party sources. It’s up to the user to verify that every app and stream complies with copyright and licensing requirements.
There are no built-in proprietary services
Elsewhere on their website under “user setup”:
After network connection all subsequent operations will be completed automatically without any intervention on your part including automatic configuration and app installation
I guess if you live in China, you’re safer from ACE and MPAA!
I helped someone set up a 64 bit vSee v6 plus a few days ago. The box actually seems pretty sweet for $260US. I was impressed by the content, the remote, and the function of the device. I helped them get Surfshark going before any of those “legal" china updates.
I have a local guy that sells Vsee he did sell V3+ and V5 Pro and now has gone to the V6 plus and Pro. I asked him if he had any 3 and 5 boxes left, he has two 3+ boxes he took on trade when people upgraded, told me 150 each. So I am going to pick one up on Tuesday, because i want to see how well they work but I am cheap and didn’t want to drop 300 to see how well they work.
I figure I can always get my money back out of it if I sell it.
Has anyone have or use V5 Pro or the new V6 box??2026-02-24T22:45:00Z
No. I use the 3+ and also got the We2usat p6 mini (android 14).
Yes, I have a v5 pro and a v6 plus. They run great. The v6 plus is better and faster. I just installed the paid version of Tivimate on the v6. I had been running my IPTV service on a Firestick. I know the post is several weeks old, If you have questions, ask away.
