Vpn router setup (tplink ax6600)

I just purchased a tp-link router (ax6600),I have it up and running, but can’t connect the VPN. Can someone point me in the right direction. I have followed troy since 2014,but it seems I haven’t learned anything(69yr old wannabe).Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Not real sure if that model can act as a vpn client. I do know it has vpn server setup but you need to check if it allows client setup. It is a beast of a router, high spec.

It’s allowing me to choose one of these configurations, but I don’t know which is the best or how to configure it. Thanks for the reply.

most likely vpn client and then opvn(open vpn). You will need to obtain your credentials from your vpn provider and most likely they will have instructions.

Hope I am in right topic. I purchased the TPLINK AX6600 a Oct. 29 replacing my tplink A7. All was good until Dec 17 when it started buffering continuously watching Syncler, and TIVImate which I never had in the past year or so… I reset modem, router, made buffer adjustments, replaced ethernet cable, tried changing hdmi ports. I will mention a month ago I purchased an 85inch hisense tv (not sure it had anything to do with this as it worked fine over the first 6 days of use). I called tplink they gave me things to try but nothing worked. I did replace the new AX6600 with my older router ARCHER A7 (tplink) and it does not have the buffering problem. My theory is either the new beast router has gone bad, or not compatible with the MECOOL 3 I have? TPlink refused to accept return authorization and blames it on the Mecool. But why does the old tplink work fine? Anyway it is a mystery. I probably will return to Amazon minus the 20% restock if cannot TPlink to accept an exchange. Or I know of another Amazon work around. But any ideas of whether it could not be the router, since switching the router out clears up the issue?? Thanks for your opinions.

Just my opinion… Its NOT the tv box. It’s the router and you proved it.

Is it possible spectrum is throttling me? I have VPN, but maybe this new unit spectrum can see through? tplink did make the point that my computers are working fine so must be the mecool.

I guess I give it 85% it is the router, 15% other/spectrum/compatability.
