Volume control issues on Mecool KM7

Continuing the discussion from MECOOL KM7 volume very low:

I am having a problem either the audio on a brand new km7. Sometimes good volume and most times bad. I’m going to try the Rii and report back. If the remote is the issue then I will try some other remotes as well.
Update: tried the Rii and volume control for mecool km7 appeared and was adjusted. Low volume fixed.
Summary: the McCool remote was controlling the tv volume only. Fixed by going into settings - remotes and accessories- set up remote buttons- volume control was changed from TV ( samsung for me) to auto. Mecool remote now controls mecool volume.

Thanks for the heads up Boomer11. I recently bought a KM7 Plus and every time I wanted to adjust the volume; the TV volume would show on the screen. I did as you said and changed the volume to my soundbar and no more problems. Love it when forum members post solutions to problems others may be having. Thanks again!

Thanks Dminor9, but how to save this config? I have to pass thru this settng again and again after turning the box off.

I turn my Mecool off every night and my settings stayed where I set them. That is a question unfortunately I don’t have an answer for. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
