Vizio smart tv any good?

I have a 65 inch Vizio smart tv still in the box. Just wondered if it’s worth opening it. I have a Formuler z11 pro so don’t need the smart option.

I personally like them and use them in a few of our rooms. Good budget TVs.

Don’t think you can beat them for the price.

Finally replaced the 17 year old Sony in November with an LG C5 I got a great deal on, the old Samsung in my bedroom has 3 thin lines across the screen, I ordered the Vizio Quantum Pro from Sam’s as they bump the warranty to 3 years. It should be here tomorrow. Both 65” so it will be interesting to compare the LG OLED to the Vizio QLED display.

Just remember that the OLED is in a different class than the QLED

I have no bright rooms in my home. The Vizio will be in a bedroom. The LG is the main tv.

I used to own a Vizio & it was a good budget tv, but it only lasted 5 1/2 years before it croaked. Also it is not the best choice if you wish to have good antenna reception, actually one of the worst for reception. This is the reason I bought my Sony as it is hands down #1 for antenna reception. For a more budget option the Samsung, TCL, & LG have pretty good tuners in them. All Sony tv’s sold now also have the new ATSC 3.0 built in them which for me was another important factor as I do have some in 3.0. I actually prefer the TCL QM6K for a low budget option tv. My friend has one & it has an awesome picture, but price won’t take your kids! :joy: Got pretty good test reviews on it also.

We hung ours the day after Christmas, and picked up a Vizio soundbar that mounts to the bottom and it has a small sub, didn’t use the satellites or surround speakers. Have the SK2 connected to it in the main bedroom. It is working well, picture is nice and not as good as the LG C5 in the living room, but very good so far.
