I have two Formuler boxes running Kodi 20.1. All of a sudden, a week or two ago, the Viewtype on both boxes is defaulting to Wall vs List (List being our preference). No matter how much I change it, it keeps going back to Wall. I can’t seem to find anywhere in settings to hold the preferred Viewtype.
Ideas, thoughts?
View type is determined by the addon in the settings page of the addon. It is not set in the main Kodi settings, nor is it permanently changed in individual pages. For example, if you are in the trending movies category and you change the view type, that is only temporary. You have to go back to the addons main page and go into the settings and find view types. When you select the view type you want you have to also click on the poster icon or click in the list where it says “click here to save”. Do this for each view type (movies, shows, seasons, episodes).
If you did all that and it’s still reverting back then you’re probably using a build and every update is going to change it back. Ditch the build.

This is where it’s confusing to me. Until about 2 weeks ago, it had always defaulted to List. Then it suddenly changed, but not by anything I’ve changed.
I don’t use a build. Haven’t since Xanax quit. I primarily use Fen (Seren, Crew and Asgard for backup) for my Trakt watchlists. When I go in to Fen tool and TOOLS: Set Views, everything shows as WideList, yet everything shows as IconWall.
Maybe it’s something within Fen itself??
Temporarily change it to a different view, hit save, then change back to wide list, then save and exit. Force close Kodi then reopen and see if it’s fixed.
