A question about buffering. I’m using FEN and watching a series out of Britain. I’m not getting many, sometimes only one feed. I use RD and the majority of videos play perfect. The shows sometimes will only show one feed and it could be either cached or uncached. It will start to buffer after just a few minutes with audio being perfect. Not every episode does this. Is there an adjustment within Kodi or ? MY internet speed is good. Has been 25mbps for years. Searching throughout site but nothing specific. I did find a great video here about setting up a fresh Kodi install. Thanks
I’d try doing maintenance first, clear cache. Force stop Kodi. Might be your Internet dropping off, also if your trying to watch a 4k feed it will have problems with 25 Mbps. Check on your phone when it happens with Analiti speed test app.
It has been my experience that if you have a stable connection with a low ping and want to watch 4k content you need around 35+ Mbs down.
It sounds like the issue is the source. Not all RD or free sources are of the highest quality, and with shows that barely scrape one source, you likely are just feeling the pain of that lower quality stream. However, I also agree that 25mbps is pretty low and doesn’t give you much wiggle room. I freak out if my speed with a VPN dips below 100 lol. You may want to consider a VOD share or something of that nature that has the show you are watching. At least that would give you a consistent way to watch it without hopefully having buffering issues.
I don’t stream 4K because of my internet but get really good feeds in 1080. When I get only one or two sources I’m sure that is the reason. Funny how I’ll get 1 source and it plays well but others not so well. Same show , different episodes. These are British shows and age may be a factor. I look for others and get all the info about them but none have any streams. No biggie, it’s a hit or miss
