Will the shield upscale to 4k if The TV is 1080 ?
No, how could it if the tv doesnt support 4k?

I have a 1080p tv using AI upscaling . When upscaling a 1p movie I get the message "AI-upscaling not supported : Unsupported content " Is this because it’s only a 1080p tv ? If I get a 4K tv will I get AI upscaling up to 1080p ?
My Shield Pro will only upgrade if the stream is less than the tvs capability. If I stream 720 or less I can AI upscale. If I Stream 1080 then i can not (the tv is 1080).
If you do upgrade to 4k then i think your answer would be yes. Anything lower than 4k should allow for AI upscaling.
