I have been using Kodi 19.3 with the Digzz build for over a year on my Android box. Yesterday, my sound turned off (red speaker with a line through it came up on upper right corner of screen after i clicked to get into my Kodi App). Have never seen that before. A few minutes earlier, i had been watching something in Crew with no issues with sound. It was buffering a bit so i tried other links, and then everything after that had no sound and showed the red speaker in upper right corner.
I eventually figured I’d uninstall and then reinstall Kodi, so today i downloaded the Troypoint Downloader App, and installed Kodi 19.4 from there.
I click on the App, go to Open, Allow, etc, and each time brings me to “Unfortunately, Kodi has stopped.”
Yes, this is before installing any addons or builds. I downloaded Kodi 19.4 from Troypoint Download Installer app. So should I just try to download it from somewhere else? I was running 19.3 with no issues for the past year or so (before the sound went off), so should I try and download 19.3 instead? If so, what is the URL for 19.3? Thanks.
I would try downloading Kodi 19.4 again from the kodi.tv website. If you still have problems, you can download Kodi 19.3 from the same website (but I don’t think that’s the problem).
That doesn’t seem to be working either. For an Android box, it takes you to the Google Play store. When i hit Install to download Kodi 19.4, it just shows “Pending” with a circle going around the word and it doesn’t get any farther. I didn’t see 19.3, but I’ll look again.
Your settings file is probably corrupted. Go to Kodi 19.4 in your apps list and clear data. This will put you back to stock. Then reinstall your build.
Thanks, but i tried clearing cache and all data, but it didn’t change anything. I was able to download 19.3, so i think I’m going to stick with that for now.
If you cleared data and/or uninstalled Kodi and then tried downloading again from the official Kodi website and it didn’t work then I’m stumped. Did you try downloading the 32bit version or the 64?
I thought i had heard somewhere in one of the threads a while ago that for some reason some have issues using 19.4, and the solution was to download 19.3 instead. At least that worked!
