Ive been using Tivimate for a few yrs now i’ve activated 4 Firesticks of my own with no issues.
My co worker purchased premium in August so I can set up 2 Firesticks for him.
I read Troy’s Tivimate instructions and realize I forgot to create a Tivimate account before I made the purchase. I simply missed a step. Even after creating the account I’m still not able to activate the Firesticks and I don’t know how to fix it.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m trying to do the set up from my phone using his account. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong…
What you’ve stated isn’t possible, so there has to be some misunderstanding of what’s occurring. The above post dealt with Google accounts and the Companion app. Lets go through purchasing a subscription for the tivimate IPTV player.
After logging in to the Google Play store and opening the Companion app, we arrive at the create Tivimate Account screen as Troy described in detail. The Companion app is simply a manager for the tivimate player, and the username and password you select are only used to unlock the premium features. You cannot purchase a subscription until those fields are completed. When payment is made, you will be taken to the tivimate companion home screen.
Your tivimate account is directly linked to your Google account.
The Companion app is accessed through the Google Play Sore.
Your purchased subscription has activated the username and password you entered during “tivimate player” account.
Only one tivimate subscription per Google account.
Troy’s article is still the best source. The forum helps to fill in the cracks that we all have the possibility of falling into.
Go on your friend’s device and open up his Tivimate app. Then go to settings>about and you should see the email you used to set up his account. If you or he cannot remember his pw. Then click on the “Forgot Password” and make a new one.
Now you should be able to follow the instructions set forth in Steve_Vee’s post.
Then change the password using the “Forgot Password” option. Most likely your username is the email you signed up with. You can find his UN by going to HIS settings> About in HIS Tivimate.
Many Thanks to Steve and everyone for your lifeline to a drowning cord cutter. My problem was solved by downloading Bluestacks for Mac and signing in my Google account. It now accepted my TiviMate Companion App and credentials. I think again the issue is the lack of happy talk between google-android and the Amazon firestick 4k max. It did work once as you can see from my receipt nearly a year ago which was done without any other Android device, only the firestick:
I have one firestick working on tivimates but cannot sign in to fix the problem for the other firedtivk…I have left messsges on contact us but never a response …frustrating!
Hey @5506 So…you have Tivimate working on one Firestick device, but on a different Firestick device Tivimate does not work? Can you explain to us where or what the exact problem is you’re having? Have you paid for & “Unlocked Premium” on Tivimate?
Go to the stick that is working and go into Tivimate settings>about and see what email you used to sign up with. Then go to your Tivimate companion and login using that email and then click on the “Forgot Password” button and setup a new password. Then try and login with your new password.
I uninstalled the tivimates this morning thinking if I installed a fresh copy it might help…so now I realize that there is no rapid app installer to re imstall it…I need to figure out a wsy to install tivimates another way
