Hi, I haven’t used my Firestick TV for some time because of the Covid we had here in Sweden. I started my Firestick TV and noticed that I had an old version of Kodi so I installed that latest Kodi 19.4.
Now when I try to add any add-on, I get a message that the repro can’t be found and the message says that it is usually due to not having any internet connection. But I do have internet and can run other apps like Cyberflix or BeeTV.
If I say to add the repro anyway and then go into Add-ons to install from a zip file, when I click on the repro I can’t click OK because it isn’t highlighted.
What have I missed? Should I just delete Kodi and re-install?

Yes, I would uninstall Kodi and start from scratch. Be sure and use the latest add-ons. I would install Kodi 19.3 as it is the latest “stable” Kodi.
Report back and let us know how it’s going.
That is strange, Troypoint app tpapp says Kodi 19.4 is the latest.
Its the latest yes, but not the most stable.
ok, so I removed Kodi and did a reinstall. 19.4 and now it seems to work.
Not really sure how but I 1st did the install via Troypoint app tpapp and then saw a Troypoint video on installing Kodi and so I did a reinstall for kodistable from troypoint. Now I’m back with Xenon and all the other stuff I seemed to have had… Just love this Firestick.
And most gratefull for Troypoint help videos.

Another thing that is confusing is now that I have Kodi with Xenon, how do I get to File Manager? Don’t see the original Kodi where I would go to the middle icon at the top but with Xenon, I can see kodi settings but can’t find File Manager to add other repos.
William
As people have suggested already I would uninstall everything and start again fresh You can download it from TROYPOINT rapid app installer This will help you Good luck
If you’re using a “build”, you’ll have to find your way to file manager using the build’s UI.
A lot of users do like builds for good reasons. But the downside is that it can be difficult to figure out where the basics are behind all the buttons on a visually very busy skin.
It’s one of the reasons that I prefer just having two or 3 add-ons on Kodi at a time and using the stock UI.
Thanks for the info and I agree staying with standard UI is probably the best.

Also forgot to ask but what 2 or 3 builds would you recommend as I’m fairly new to using the Firestick and Kodi.
William
I wouldnt use a build on the firestick, to much resources. Your absolute best bet is to use real debrid with a single addon. Crew/Seren are my favs.
Hi MrWamck
I am currently using the Xenon build but I often find it easier to use the default Kodi settings menu for navigating around Kodi addons, file manager etc
The easiest way to change to the Kodi UI is to go to Kodi Settings button from the builds startup screen, navigate down to the interface button and then go to the skin button. Move over to skin and you can now change the skin to the default Estuary skin. Say Yes to Keep Skin and then from there you can make your additions and amendments. Once finished you can go back to the Interface button at the bottom of the system menu, and change the skin settings back to your preferred build UI.

Thanks for the info. Its not that I need Xenon, but when I installed Kodi, I went and asked google What do I do next and It came back and said install Diggz and so I did. When it was done, up came Xenon. At the moment I have no clue of how to use Kodi and if I need it at all. I installed Cyperflix, think that’s the name, and BeeTV and on these I have found what I wanted to see. Going to have to read more on How and What I can use the Firestick for. Bought it a few years back when I was in the states. Not much on TV here in Sweden so I thought maybe i could see films, series that are not on here or maybe never will be on here.

Do you have to use real debrid to get the addons to work?
