I cannot find the “Download” option in Xplore app. I’ve deleted and reloaded Xplore several times but it’s just not there. Download should be on the left panel just before the “Downloader” app listing but it is not there.
xplore is not a downloader app. Its a file manager
Why are you looking for a downloader option?
hey Jerry…
I take it u mean Download Folder…
It shouldnt be a permission problm, has it prompted you?
& duz it appear in other managers? (ES)
In the process of moving apps with Xplore, there is a step after you’ve done the “Copy to Clipboard”. The next step is to open “Internal shared storage”. When that drops down you should see Android, artifacts, BeeTV, DCIM and then “Download”. Download is missing.
Maybe there has been an update to Xplore or I am missing a step.
If you go to Troy’s video listed in the link, at about 7:40 minutes in to video you will see “Download”. I, for some strange reason, don’t have that option.
A couple things Jerry, my guess is you inadvertantly deleted the download folder as it is there by default on Firestick and Android TV.
Now to be honest I would expect permissions to prevent that but I have never looked at the permissions or tried to delete it.
You can just use the Downloader folder the same way.
In a previous message you mentioned you could not find MiXplorer on TDUK’s site but the topic expired before I saw your post.
Go to the website, select search icon, search for mixplorer you will get two hits at the top of the page that do not look like links but are.
Click the link and scroll down to the small download box, it will be green and there you are.
I don’t want to post my email here but I assume a motrater has access to my info, if that’s the case, you have my permission to drop Jerry a email with my address, if that happens Jerry feel free to contact me.
I betcha if you use a browser like TVBro, Silk, etc and download an apk like MX Pro for example your Download folder may reappear. Dunno, but it’s worth a shot. Don’t use Downloader for this example.
Another thing you can try is to just create a new folder. Highlight the USB drive folder and go to the center column and select New Folder… Again, worth a shot.
The final solution is to uninstall and reinstall X-plore. That will def work!
Download MX Player Pro for Android - latest version (softonic.com)
I’d suggest forgetting about Xplore as a downloading tool or app. I tried it a few times and found it to be very complicated to the point of frustration. Better to sideload Downloader by AFT News off your browser from ApkPure and use it to side load your selected apps from url addresses. MUCH easier.
The downloader option, not app, is in the right hand column, which is used when you move files from your internal storage to your external storage.

Thank you all for the suggestions and help. I was able to get Download back on the Xplore panel. I don’t recall how I did it. Deleting/reloading Xplore multiple time was not how I did it.
I’ve tried most but not all of the tips but still unsuccessful. I’m at the point where it’s not all that important. I was just trying to move Analiti to external memory. I loaded it and deleted it possibly a dozen times. But it’s not that big of a deal. Unfortunately I deleted a tool from Troy’s old RAI and couldn’t remember what it was called.
Thank you all, again!
If you want Analiti on external storage don’t use any of the “official” app stores. Get it from a 3rd party store or trusted apk store and install it.
Thank you Miki! would you happen to have an example. Over the several years I’ve strictly used what Troy or the Amazon app store has provided. So I’ve never ventured out much to other options.
Something odd, when I download Xplore, from the Amazon app store, it always goes to external storage. Go figure!
apkpure is one site with trusted apk to install.
Thank you Miki!
With the probability of appearing totally dense, would I be able to load apkpure though the Downloader app?
Yes, but I have found that sometimes the Downloader can have issues at times. No rhyme or reason to it, but it does happen.
ApkPure has its own app you can download, also. I used to tout APKpure as the absolute go-to to download for 3rd party apps. Now I use Softronics more and more, because it is just as much a trusted site without all the nonsense. Don’t get me wrong, APKpure is a respected and trusted site, also. The issue I have is since he decided to promote his own app, I tend to see a lot more commercialization on all his download pages. Plus, the ad pop-ups that are getting annoying, and his app is a bit querky.
I like using TVBro more than using downloader to download apks, but that is totally a personal preference. Any download using TVBro can be installed from the Download icon located in the top header area of TVBro, and it will also be stored automatically in your file manager application for use.
Btw, I downloaded the APKpure apk using TVBro to my nVidia Pro. The apk will not show on your app page or your favorites bar unless you make a shortcut. Although, you can always access any app via your device settings. I have since deleted that apk.
Here is a guide for Lonely Cat Games (X-plore). You can also access this guide via “Root Access” within the X-plore app itself.
